"Drive" is one hell of an awesome film, agreed!

SPL is getting a DVD release in Germany. Guess which title they are using, lol.

Why did drive never get a sequel? It was one of those channel 5 movies which i enjoyed watching yearly. I am not sure whether it was hated or seen in a bad light like street fighter but i enjoyed that movie so much. great action, better comedy i can barely even remember the plot!

Drive AFAIK is a direct to video film with a cult following but not known of otherwise.
bleeper wrote:after that maybe i'll buy the better tomorrow films if they are better than the HKL DVDs.
Part 1 isn't an HKL title.

PS3 maybe but DM is a CT/Sony title so that's already no no.
bleeper wrote:heck maybe even Drive. i do not care what anyone says Drive was an awesome film.
I never knew Drive was coming, agreed it's good.

I think Drive was released theatrically in Japan, which was one of the producers' nationalities. Its US release was straight to video and cut

I'm sure it was the same here, before HKL/Whoever fixed that.

Brad, there's a question mark on the end. It's a question

It was such an enjoyable film you can barely remember the plot.

PS3 maybe but DM is a CT/Sony title so that's already no no.
Does CT stand for contender? because HKL had DM.
Part 1 isn't an HKL title.
Are they any good?

Oops I read it quickly and could see how it could be a question or statement equally but clearly it's a question.

I thought you were talking R1 DVDs and hoping DD would pick DM up? As on R1 Columbia Tristar (owned by Sony) they already have the rights to DM.
Are they any good?
The best A Better Tomorrow is a controversial one and hopefully will finally be resolved when DD release it. Right now it's:

1. R1 Anchor Bay but it's very old and single layer
2. HK Fortune Star - Remastered but many report a framing issue, those who've noticed it say it's extreme. Those who haven't don't.

It's impossible not to notice it. I swear to God, I'm really starting to believe that some people have got a copy of a fixed version which FS might have secretly released.

Not as far as I know. I'm sure they're all well old non-anamorphic crud, from the likes of Tai Seng.

Point me to the exact time (minute/second) and I'll see if I can spot it. In other picks a particular bad time.

Please don't say it's right throughout the film as like I said I've not spotted it. I've not watched the DVD right through mind you.

Could well be a pressing issue if some aren't seeing it

I don't think so. The John Woo box set which was released much later had the same problem. That's the only version I've seen actually.

Brad: for example when emily accidentally breaks the car window

Re: ABT1 IVL

There's one misplaced frame occasionally through the movie. This frame however is placed 3-4 frames to late in the sequence making stuff "jump back" real quick and then resume from where it was 3 frames later... It should be really noticeable in scenes where big things move aroune - as the case in the above example of HungFist whence Emily/Leslie uses the chello (or whatever) to break the car window... actually it occurs just about a half second before the window breaks - i.e. as the chello is moving towards the window.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

What time is that please? It's been a while since I've seen ABT and then it was the AB.

Around the 12-minute mark.
It's barely noticeable.

I always thought it was some kind of DVD authoring mistake.
Anyway I couldn't care less about this "frame-repeating problem".

The IVL is still the best version out there (soon to be beaten by HK Vidéo's ABT boxset  ).
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".
