God damn everyone with their season breaks - arsed waiting til Feb min.

Enjoyable season so far but I've been told that the storyline revolves around actor demans/behaviour... as opposed to proper creative writing. It's like Blade III all over again.

Huh? As I wrote above, the creators of the series said that the basic storyline is there on paper and is also supposed to make sense, meaning that it is not all a dream or so in the end.

Perhaps but Cynthia Watros, Michelle Rodriguez and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje have ran into trouble - either on set or with the law, forcing the producers to terminate their characters. In some cases, the deaths were abrupt and unexplained. Watros was supposed to be in the show long term, her character was shown in the mental institute with Hurly - but nothing was developed further. Reason being, she ran into trouble with the law. In the case of Akinnuoye-Agbaje, he was acting like a dick on set, forcing rewrites and just generally being awkward. The writers/producers had no choice but to alter the story for their actors' demands.

Well, Cynthia appeared on the audio commentary of the "Dave" episode of season 2. I listened to it just recently and in the extras of season 2 we see her on her last day on the set and how she says good-bye to everybody. Then she kinda hints that she'll be back, though (maybe in some Hurly or Desmond flashbacks).

So how did she get in trouble with the law anyway?

As for Agbaje... he seemed kinda cocky in the extras, but what he said made perfect sense. Due to him, the Eko character got so fleshed-out and cool. Initially he was supposed to be that African gangster lord only and kinda 1-dimensional. He talked a lot with the writers about his character, true. But that doesn't make him a dick in my opinion. The Eko character is one of my favourites and it is due to Agbaje that he has some of the best flashbacks in the series.

What about Michelle? What wrong did she do? I mean I never liked her character a lot, but I can't imagine that they killed her Ana-Lucia because she was being an asshole. It's just that she had a one season appearance and that's it.

Did you know that Michelle Rodriguez was in prison IRL?

My brother was gutted when Mr. Eko was killed off. He almost threatened to not watch the show anymore. :D

It's gay how Lost has gone on hiatus for like 2 months+. The other day I finally got caught up on season 3 by watching the 6 episodes that have aired thus far in one sitting. Great stuff man.

Ben is a sweet villain IMO. I wonder what they'll do to Jack after the surgery? Tis sad how his stunt is all in vain, since they're on a completely different island. Kate has nowhere to run.

The 'gayness' has ended. And I guess you've found that all was not in vain; A Clockwork Orange boy, Sawyer and Kate have managed to get off the island.
Not entirely sure where the writers were going with the whole impregnated sister bit, but I guess we'll see.

And for the first time, I'm watching it in lovely HD. (And, incidentally, on television, rather than my monitor) :D

For the first time?! Crikey, I don't think I've seen a single episode in standard definition! :) The latest episode was pretty good, quite tense for once...

In the brainwashing scene, there is reversed dialogue which is actually repeating 'only fools are enslaved by time and space' (which sounds like Ms. Klugh is saying it).

Mittelos Bioscience is an anagram for 'lost time'.

The guard outside Karl's building was reading Stephen Hawking's 'A Brief History of Time' and taking notes.

Notice a pattern?

Well since it's hinting towards the subject of time, perhaps that's a key subject in relation to the island, and what the DHARMA Initiative were/are involved in.

Yeah, I saw it. It's good as it gave new hints about what the others are all about. A defected team of scientists whose main research is the fertilisation of women without a male or even human seed. Hence, I am pretty sure that Claire is about to become one of the most important characters. Or wait... she already gave birth... but was also injected by the others. Didn't she in one episode say that she didn't know the father really well. Maybe a lie, because she went pregnant without having had sex with anybody? Maybe the scientists (others) fertilised her?

What? We saw Claire's boyfriend in a flashback and he dumped her after getting her pregnant.

I've just seen episode 8, and it's quite interesting.

Yup, what a great episode. Since his first appearance Desmond has been one of the most interesting characters. So far, the more we got to know about his character, the more it seemed we got to know about the whole island situation.
