This is a very crisp and clean transfer. The 3rd and 4th captures show that there has been some colour changes
made but I believe it was for the better. Framing has been opened up and grain has been reduced but with no severe
side effects like motion blurring, smooting, etc. Thunderball looks great on this new DVD.

UE clear winner.

Didn't I read that the scene in which the water goes blood-red was screwed up (ie, no red) on the R2 UE?

It looks fine on your cap, CJ.

MLAM?

Yeah they fixed that problem for the R1 UE, atleast that's what I can say. People also confirm this on HTF.

UE looks darker in some shots (title screen is purple?), also look at the 3rd shot but it clearly beats the SE

CJ, do you know if any other errors have been fixed for the R1 counterparts?

We know that the audio and subtitles are fixed -- but is there anything else like the above blood shot?

Well I'm not really sure. If you have one in specific I could probably check for you.
I think they fixed a lot of the colour errors that occured such as Bond's really red face in DAF and that sort of thing.

I can't think of anything specific... but it's still nice to know someone is on the ball in America fixing mistakes.

Oh, wait. What about the black titles on Licence to Kill?

Thanks.

Never a great source of contention for me I just couldn't think of anything else off hand.

Is the R1 UE LTK now "uncut" or is it still the PG-13 version?

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone had more info on this version?

Back of the box says 2010. Is it the same as the BluRay?

Well I ended up buying it anyway, and comparing to DVD Beaver, it looks like it's the same transfer as the UE, but has the original mono audio included.

Also, I'm fairly certain the one I looked at last time said 2010, but the few I checked all said 2008 :dontknow: Go figure.
