I dont know if this one has been done yet, but I was thinking of comparing three Tom Yum Goong DVD's. Korean, Thai, HK Discs.

I have the Korean and the Thai, if someone could do some caps from the HK Disc I could set up a thread on this subject.

Hey Mark,
I've got the R2UK Extended cut of Casualties of War on the way. Do you want to do a comparison with the old TC DVD?

Please remember to note the approximate time signatures of when you took the caps and then post them in the thread, cheers.

I think I'm just gonna keep the original theatrical cut.

I like the film as it is and don't imagine the new additions will change much, but I'd like to hear your opinion of it.

I watched the deleted scenes on the current disc (which comprise most of the restored material) and there's nothing I could see that really enhanced the story or characters.

If you want me to do matching caps from the R2 theatrical I will.

I'll do an Apocalypse Now Redux: R4 vs. R1 Complete Dossier comparison in the weekend. Brad can add his Frenchie caps later on.

Can someone do a comparison of:

Miracles (HKL v Joy Sales)

I won't get rid of my HKL at all but according to the CD-WOW specs the Joy Sales/Fortune Star Miracles has deleted scenes from the Taiwan version (rather like Crime Story).
Do you think its worth a double dip?

Is "The Canton Godfather" it's original title? Miracles is much better.

No, AFAIK Miracles is the original title (or at least a literal translation of the Chinese title).
THE CANTON GODFATHER or MR. CANTON AND LADY ROSE are AKA titles.

Literal translation of the Chinese title: Miracles

Original HK-English title: Mr. Canton and Lady Rose.

International title: Miracles

No idea where The Canton Godfather came from, though the old sell-thru UK tape used this also.

Whoa! e-m-s recently released "Full Contact" in Germany in a new HD transfer. I didn't believe how good it looks compared to all other releases out there. Will have the disc by tomorrow or Friday and do a little comparison with the HKL. Bugger I sold my MeiAh disc, but the e-m-s wipes the floor with it anyway.

If I get a chance I'll do a Lawrence of Arabia R1 SE vs. UK R2 SB (when the SB arrives). They should be wildly different.
