Mylène Farmer

Post by tom2681 »

If you know (and like) french lolita Alizée, you should try to listen to Mylène Farmer. Most of their songs are written by the same guy (Laurent Boutonnat).

Anyway, the reason why I'm telling you this is because one of her music videos ("L'âme Stram Gram") was directed by none other than Ching Siu-Tung himself.
Which is why it might be of interest for some people on this board. :D

You can find the clip on the ED2K network.
I might find the time to upload it on Rapidshare if you're interested.

P.S: her latest clip is directed by Mamoru Oshii (hasn't been released yet).
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

I'm interested, I actually liked Alizée, Lolita was quick a catchy song, and I liked Alizée "La isla bonita". A madonna cover...

I'll try to upload the "âme stram gram" video tonight. :)
Did you know that there's a version of Moby's Slipping Away that features Mylène Farmer ? Great song.

Re: Alizée:
"J'en ai marre" and "à contre-courant" are quite catchy as well IMO. :)

This is a huge 8-minute clip shot like a Hong-Kong swordplay film.
Perhaps one of the most amazing Music Videos ever shot. :)

Mylene Farmer is ace, I have her music DVDs. Her videos are some of the best music videos ever. She is the only none Asian artist I still listen to these days.

I didn't know you were a fan. :)

I'll see what I can do (maybe I'll pm you the link, though. Don't want to get into any legal trouble here).

I'm not. I'm a fan of Production I.G., the animation studio.

Whenever I see this link it reminds me of Myleene Klass :D -

She's hot, used to be in some two bit manufactured pop group and surprisingly is a trained classical musician: http://www.myleeneklass.co.uk/

But she's an ugly munter with an awful chat show too boot. Ms. Klass seems to have a nice personality too.
