Yeah, I know what you mean, I think they just put in for effect, ie to show where the scene WOULD HAVE BEEN.
Doesn't mention Mandarin though.

I doubt I'll buy this btw... I have the 3 first HKL releases of Bruce's movies, and I'm fine with them. In a few years time we'll all have HD-DVD and I'm sure they'll be re-released on that format a couple of times as well... so I'm in no rush of picking this up...

I'm kinda dubious about those Bruce "experts" - but still kinda interested in what they may have to say also.

*Grim's Rainman-esque thought-patterns* Yeah, double-dip. Definitely definitely double-dip.

Hi, I could be wrong but I think Andy Staton was one of the original team at Kung Fu Monthly, the British monthly Bruce Lee mag produced from around 1975 - 1983. He was with them when I started to read it in 1979, and yeah, he sure knows his shit!!! (Incidentaly, Bey Logan also cut his writing teeth on this mag!!)
Cheers,
monzo.

Really:
Monty Python
Four Weddings and a Funeral
Notting Hill
The Office
Only Fools and Horses
All are very popular in the States and elsewhere. The list goes on

Me too. So far HKL have only managed to give us really boring commentators (bar Bey) who may know their stuff but no shit about commentating.
As Bey says himself you can't just sit down and expect to sound interesting for 2 hours.

DVD Times have posted their press release.
What's shocking is Cantonese only
.
I've asked HKL again to get the 1973 English and Mandarin soundtracks in mono.

Cantonese only? That sucks :x I won't double dip if it is.
Chenlung don't you mean the 1971 Mandarin track plus 1973 English track
(I think). I hear the first English dub gave Bruce a very deep voice.

I said 1973 because that's when 'National General Pictures' created it 8) . Mandarin 1971 yes - I didn't say that because there is only one Mandarin soundtrack
.
Worth a try anyway incase the disc is still in production (which I doubt).
Bruce does indeed have a deep voice in the 1971 English compared to the 1973. The Wang Fu Ling score sounds very nice with all the strings and stuff that play (only heard it for that scene).

Maybe they couldn't find a Mandarin track or something? There's no excuse for not knowing, as they put Mandarin on "Fist".

Unlikely, considering the Mandarin track is on the IVL and Fox DVDs.

No chance... Fortune Star gave it to Spectrum, Fox, IVL and Deltamac in the past.

No Mandarin mono, no sale.
It's that simple.
I need to get that bloody Fox disc.
But not worth it for 2/6 films.

Yeah unfortunately.
I've told them many times that Mandarin is the correct language and Cantonese isn't (created in the 80s).
