And even worse bringing him to an occasion where there will be NO alcohol. Might get him angrily throwing with tree trunks! :D

600????????????

I couldn't find 60 guests to invite.

Is a wedding an open invitation to anyone you've ever met? The cashier at your local Tesco for example?

I actually prefer soft drinks to alcohol (unlike most pissed-up Brits) so you COULD have invited me. Bastard!

:), We had invited loads of family friends from my mum side, and dad side, plus their family as well. From my mum side, she has 4 brother, and including her 4 sisters. They are each married, have kids who are also married, so we invited their family, and my dad side is very large as well. So we had people come from USA, Pakistan, India and mostly UK. TBH it really didn't seem that big, also we have family come from my Wife side as well, she has 4 brothers, and 4 sisters. Her family comes from Kenya and South Africa.

Yeah about drinking, I have found out from my friends, they do enjoy soft drink to alcohol. They enjoyed the wedding alot more

So 600 guests ey... and they all brought money or presents?
Tell us the booty? What did you get??? :D

Gawd I'd hate to invite so many people...
I'm not close with my family, plus her family is rather small here in Holland...
I guess I'd invite my mom and her husband, plus my best friend... maybe some others, not sure yet...

TBH I'd rather just elope, or get married in Hong Kong...

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

With so many women at your wedding Slasher I'd have had a half decent chance at getting laid. :D

It only 5 mins away from my parent house, but it nice to know that family is still around. Personally I feel that you know if you want to get married or not, it's in each people heart. Some people may say it depends on how you were brought up, eg a woman who doesn't believe in marriage, because mainly of seeing her mother being treated bad, so can't blame her. However saying that my wife had a bad childhood as well, especially seeing her mum beaten up as well, so she really hates her father, but wanted to get married to me.

I personally love marriage, it not to do with a piece of paper, but something else, prob spirtual. There is a saying which I heard when I grew up, when god made you, he also made your partner who you will find. I can safely say, yes i have met my partner and inshalla we will both have a happy marriage.

By the way the above is what I personally believe, and don't want to force it to anyone else, just want to add in something to the conversation :D
2 years!! I remember you psting on te old boards a couple weeks before, im due to get married on the 07.07.07. Less than a year a way and i cant wait, glad your enjoying (married) life. :)

Muslims do drink alcohol if it's offered to them at a party or something by their host.

Bottled water?
"Muslims: They blow themselves up."
I personally think that's a bit of a generalisation but if you wanna go with that theory I can't stop you...

Ahh, but we can't drink that; we've got to pour it out into a container.

But anyway, marriage...

Sorry, I forget to mention that it should be a large container, which has all the other liquids poured into it, thus creating a potentially deadly mix in the airport itself, rather than on a plane

About:
Mark wrote:Maybe if Muslims drank alcohol they'd be too pissed to blow themselves up?
I believe he's just talking about muslim TERRORISTS.
And AFAIK it's OK to insult evil people.

That was probably a case of bad wording on his part. :)
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

I agree with Tom.
Bad wording and something of a stereotype, though a ban is a bit OTT don't you think Toge? I'm sure, as Tom says, he means terrorists.

I haven't banned him. He is on a strike. 3 strikes = week suspension.

If LD wasn't happy with it I have to take action.
