U is Ungraded right? What went wrong Toge?

Otherwise two C's good stuff. Personally I believe you should be happy with C and above, there is far to much pressure to get that elusive A.

I never fitted in at school and got rubbish GCSE's (my best was an E I think) but I went to College and straight Merits (the equivalent of B) just proving for me the school system didn't work. I hate virtually every minute of it.

I couldn't wait to get out. Not once have my lack of GCSE's been an issue. I don't even put the grades I got on application forms, no one cares.

Not that you can compare GCSE's to A-Levels of course, GCSE's are just a basic level of education.

The Scottish education system is (was) different to the what you guys have in England but I got three highers at C-grade (Art, English, History) and a D-grade for SYS English. I was forkin' robbed. I bet it was because I called Tess of the D'urbervilles shit (or some such). :D

No, not GCSE. I can't remember what they're called, lol. Was so long ago.

SYS = Sixth Year Studies. I think that may have been disbanded since? It's like a bridging course between school and university. I think, harder than an A level, but easier than a BA.

@ Brad: A level's are divided into 2 years now, with exams at the end of each year. AS is the first year and A2 the second year....your final A-Level grade is determined by combining the two sets of marks from both years to give you an overall grade...its kinda good becuase if you do crap i nthe first year you have a chance to pull your grades back up in the 2nd year

lol, so the tutors kept telling us too :D

but the thing that really gets me is each year a high percentage of people get really good grades and the pricks up in offices and everything scream that the exams must be too easy, not the people are getting smarter and working harder..

personally my photography Alevel i fast tracked and did all in one year, and i'll be glad if i get a C cuz i worked my ass off to finish that, and it sure as hell wasnt easy. 6 journals, 6 projects, 2 exams totally 20 hours... it really wasnt easy. and neither is the normal A-Level over two years. why cant they just give credit to the kids who are smart and work hard instead of just saying "oh the exams are too easy"...they're probably just worried because they know one-day we're gonna be their bosses :D

Really? Doesn't look like it to me.
Not over here anyway.

Back when I was in highschool, most of the kids were quite smart.
Now:
-they can't even write Bonjour properly.
-they think New York is the capital of the USA.
-they think that China is a continent.

Not an improvement from where I'm standing. :D

Every year, they make the exams easier because most of these kids are too dumb to succeed. :(
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

True, it really pisses me off when people say exams must be easier just because the pass rate is better, and they don't give people any credit  I worked hard for my grades, and passed my A Level 4 years after my GCSE. :)
