Yeah, those kinda guys usually get labelled Bungle

. If you don't know why that is, it's a reference to Rainbow, the UK kids show, which featured a big gay bear. Well, he didn't know he was gay, but everyone watching did, even the kids

Sounds interesting. This kids series starring a gay bear, who doesn´t know that he is, well... gay.

Is this show available on DVD?

Perhaps I was being too flippant

There was no hint of sexuality and gender issues being aimed at kids (except for that one outtake 'episode') but viewed as an adult, it's almost impossible to not get the feeling that he was just a big gay bear

I don't think it's on DVD, but it is on some kids channels like Nick Jr. etc.

No, but now that I think back of Yogi Bear, I remember that I used to like his show, but from today's point of view, he and Bobo must have been gay.

But then again, there was Cindy for whom Yogi fell in love.

Yup, the bear I was talking about is featured in this.
Strangely enough, as this is a piss-take, he comes off (oo-er) as straighter than in the episodes that were aired on TV.

Three years ago and I only found out about it now. A lot of his friends from Uni (whom he's known only a few years) have known, long before me.

I asked him why he didn't tell me.

He says that it's more difficult to tell the people you've known the longest.

His parents and brothers don't know yet. Can't believe I never noticed the signs. I'm possibly the most non-observant person ever.

I also owe this girl a tenner because we made a bet to see if my best mate was gay or not.

I understand him not telling his family, as he might be unsure as to how they would react, but I would've thought that telling his best friend would've unburdened him a great deal... but, I guess different people deal with things in different ways. As you've said, you still consider him your best friend and that's all that he should need.

I thought that my previous avatar of Murray from Monkey Island 3, and the thread I started in the games forum (or whatever it's called now

) about SCUMM would've given it away, but it seems some people only get it when there's a big purple tentacle (oo-er) pointing a gun at them

Putting the sarcasm aside and answering your question, yes, I started playing lots of the point'n'clicks in my early teens and the LucasArts ones always seemed to be the best. The humour was great and kept you clicking... Sam'n'Max still makes me laugh

Kurgan, wasn't Murray from Monkey Island 3 and 4? He's by far my favourite Monkey Island character (3 being my favourite game).

I've played and completed most Lucasarts adventures - even Manian Mansion (the prequel to Day of the Tentacle).

I'm a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge fan of point n clicks. Lucasarts being my favourite company but there are other good ones out there.

I'm using SCUMM just now to play Indy & Fate of Atlantis (still suck!!!)

I've not managed to finish (or barely start, even) Maniac Mansion, though I have it on a DOTT/SNM:HTR CD I bought.
Day Of The Tentacle I played only once, as was the case with the Monkey Island series, but Sam N Max I played through a coupla times. There's just something about that psychotic rabbit

I remember playing a few others, like Simon The Sorcerer (which was quite witty) and, as mentioned in the other thread, Beneath A Steel Sky. Class games, one and all.

Played Wakefield in the 5-a-side tournament last night and whipped 'em 19-6.

I was in the nets for only a short time (I'd damaged my ligaments about 3 weeks ago) but I only three in.
We play Halifax on Sunday, so hopefully, I'll be able to play for longer.
