I think that Kiefer Sutherland makes a great villian - I still find it weird seeing him on 24 playing a good guy (although fair enough, he's hardly PC). I thought he was funny in Freeway (adult version of Little Red Riding Hood), where he plays a child molesting serial murderer. Also in Phonebooth, he was quite smart in that.
Other favourite villians include Christopher Lee (as Saruman in LOTR and Summerisle in Wicker Man), Michael Rosenbaum as Lex (before Smallville started to get all whack)... will think of more later.
But I'd love to see Jackie Chan take a really evil role, same with Arnie (but guess he's not doing much acting these days).
Favourite villians/people you'd like to play villians?

I liked Patrick Tam as a scheming bastard in Century of the Dragon.
Depp is great as Pirate Jack... who is also a bit of a villain...
Jude Law in Road to Perdition

Which is supposed to be happening soon.BiscLimpkit wrote:But I'd love to see Jackie Chan take a really evil role.
I think my favourite HK villain is Shing Fui-on. Isn't he just evil in "The Killer"? But if we speak about old school kung fu films, many people will vote for Hwang Jang Lee. I don't know. I always found him to be charismatic though and didn't buy his evil doings. The best villain of old school flicks is Fung "the rapist" Hark-on.
Also Ed Harris in "The Rock" was awesome.

Stuart Wilson in No Escape is the best villian ever.
"NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!!!!!"
Billy Drago in Delta Force 2!
Have you guys seen that movie? He is so cartoonishly brutal its hilarious.
Also on the topic of bad 80s action movies...Richard Lynch is also hilarious in Invasion USA.
Ed Harris is great in Enemy at the Gates.
Gary Oldman (as Bisc mentioned) ..most notably in Leon.
I liked Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator, even if a bit over the top.
John Lithgow is classic in Cliffhanger.
A few Asian movies i can think of off hand -
Goro Kishitani is good in Returner, despite being overly cartoonish
Park Joon-hoon in Say Yes.
Lee Sung-jae in Public Enemy

While I was lying in bed not being able to get to sleep (insomniac is a bitch: I can be lazy all day long, then when I'm supposed to go to sleep, I get all creative and active and whatever....), I thought of Mr BadAss himself, one of the most interesting bad guys ever: LEE VAN CLEEF.
Of the HK Villains I also quite like Mr Han from Enter the Dragon, cause he has such an evil face but he seems like a cool guy in person. Very funny in Millionaire's Express, making fun of his old role as arch-nemesis of Wong Fei Hung

The bit about Kiefer Sutherland got me thinking about the story arc in S3 of 24 when he pretends to switch sides and be evil to dupe the Salazars. He could be great as a bad guy.
