* Nerina Pallot - Fires £6.99 - I took a risk on this having old her the first single which I like. Normally I completely ignore CD sales as they never compete with CD WOW but at only 0.24p more I figured why not.
Nerina Pallot is absolutly amazing! that single out at the moment isnt even close to her best songs, its the only pop song worth a single chart release. The album is wonderfull, but her 1st album "Dear Frustrated Superstar" released 5 years ago is better :D get them both, her 1st album is on Amazon markets for 5-6 quid and its bloody stunning :D one of the best I had heard for a very long time, the girls a marvel! and sadly Vastly underated by the public :(

Gladiators extras are perfect, get it for the new footage in the film and the extremly detailed long documentary and the commentary.

Thanks Romero. I didn't realise she had previous work out. It's odd how it's already cheap.

She sounds a lot like Vanessa Carlton which is no bad thing. It's a decent album. I've only heard it in the car so far which really isn't the right way to appreciate music.

Decent music and I mean music instead of pop manufactured with a computer is often underrated. There is far to much indie dross at the moment. The Kinks = Dull, Arctic Monkeys = Where's that scalpel etc . . .

Arctic Monkeys really are dreadfull :( same goes for many of the so called best albums of the past 10 years artists of the moment.

Nerina Pallot for me may look like all the other slight pop females at the moment, but thats because most people are basing her soley on that single she has out (and the video), in fact what they dont know is thats her 6th single (I think its 6) and the album has been out ages, this is actually the albums second release as it didnt do well last time it was released a while back last year. Its strange what does well and what doesnt.

I listened again to her 1st album today and really its bloody perfect, her second album Fires is also bloody terific stuff and really some of the songs she has done really are perfect. Downloaded a diary of hers from her website recently, its odd to see her in her home in London talking in a strange Londoner accent :D

LOL you're right I do. I hate all these Indie bands. It's the main reason why Radio 1 is VERY overrated tosh. It's all they play.

I wouldn't mind but the amount of people who must think "I better say one of those cool indie bands or I'll get laughed at" is a joke. There are so many of them, each week a new one appears. They all sound and look exactly the same too.

I checked out Amazon earlier and you're right Romero they sell both versions. The re-release came out in April 2006. It's exactly the same right bar the cover art? If so I'll stick to the re-release.

The UK music market is incredibly fickle.

One minute you're cool the next you're dropped like a lead weight. Suddenly The Corrs aren't cool enough to play on TV, suddenly Lene Marlin isn't either

Still in the case of Nerina Pallot if they hadn't had another go I'd have never heard of her. It's exactly the recent single you cite Romero that made me by the CD.

Thanks. She really does sound like Vanessa Carlton. There are some top tunes on there I'm starting to notice now I've heard it a few times. I especially like "Learning to Breathe".

The funny thing is the re-release was released exactly 12 months later after the the first attempt. I presume you have the original?

Some sale prices still up such as Gladiator and Barton Fink.

I hate those 3 for £15 deals. It usually means by some title you don't want just to get the deal. I'll pass.

I believe the extras/more are better but it's not two DVD-9's you're getting. There are comments about it over at DVD Active.
