Looks quite nice when everything's white outside, but jeez its' bloody cold, even down south where I am, the snow showers are quite frequent here. (Its windy as well). :(
Anyone else have snow where they live?

I have about 2 inches of snow in my back-yard.
Hopefully it won't melt anytime soon.

*Checking the temperature*

3°C. Yep ! Won't melt for a while :lol:

The snow (il neige ;) ) here keeps melting, while its very cold the snow here is actually rather light and in showery bursts.

"il neige" does mean "it is snowing" or "snow" right? :? :D

Any excuse to learn french, right ? :D :D

Il neige -> It's snowing.
La neige -> Snow.

P.S. If you have any questions about french verbs or vocabulary, why don't you PM me ?
I don't want to pollute this beautiful new forum with a complex foreign language :twisted: :D

It's sure cold up here... but we've only had a sprinkling of snowfall. And that's melted away since last night.

It snowed quite a bit last night (down south). Most of the roads near my home were covered by evening. :( Not meant to snow much today (just be sleet/rain/snow in patches in St. Albans/London) but its still bloody cold. :(

Here in Holland and where I live, it has snowed a lot since I think tuesday evening/night. Wednesday and yesterday (thursday) there was over 30 cm's of snow at my house.
I stayed home yesterday and took a couple of pics. I'll try and post them maybe tonight, or perhaps at sunday night...
I liked throwing my old,cranky cat in the snow though. Keeps his heart going ;) Ofcourse, he was a bit less enthousiastic then I was...

I'm at work right now, and there's hardly anyone here... I can't say I blame them ;)

I took great pleasure from taking my lazy, cranky old cat into the 1 ft high snow...

Great pics. That's a lot of snow. Holland is quite a bit further north than England. I guess Scotland had about the same, not sure.

Down in the South West we got barely any, which suited me just fine.

Oops you're right. I've just checked and parts of the UK are further north. Where I live in the south west it's more south than Holland (phew :D).

Me to. I used to own a cat (have done since I can remember) until it was ran over a couple of years ago. It was safe for the first year until it got my adventurous and ventured out on to our main road (a tempting field is the other side).

I'll get one again for sure when I move out.

as a kid/pre-teen, there was a very nice cat that occasionally visited our lil bungaloo (after the divorce, and being broke and all, we lived in cheap places...) and we would give hima lil something to eat, a bit of milk, etc etc...

One day we were walking with my dad (visiting) and the cat walked along with us all the time... along a quiet long road...
A car came from the distance, and when the car passed, the cat ran across the road and it got hit by the car...

needless to say I was crying my eyes out all the way home. Left me with a traume of always being scared whenever the cat doesnt come when I call him...
Luckily we live in a quiet neighbourhood, plus the cat is relatively lazy, boring, and unadventurous... but before we lived in a normal area/street, so that was always scary...

i used to have 3 cats until a rather messy break up which resulted in one of them going to live in wales and the other two being put in a home..... living in the centre of birmingham i've had the displeasure of seeing a cat being hit by a car, removing it still alive from the road to calm my upset companions and then having to put it out of its misery due to the severity of the injuries. its definately a sobering experience having a screaming cat leaking blood all over you knowing full well that the only thing you can do for it is to end its life as quickly as possible... :(

Nah I thought you were around that age.

You're lucky then I already have lots of grey hairs age 26. I have two funny grey patches at the back, sort of like Graham Norton does but only into two places luckily.

I so can't be bothered with dye though.
