As for the monarchy I say do what the Germans did and sack them. They have very little place in today's society and hark back to a bygone age, which is now long since extinct.

Wouldn't the world be fairer if we got to vote over "our" monarchy!

get rid of them in this day and age they are an outdated relic.-back in 1977 remember as a schoolkid lining the streets to see the queen fleetingly drive past during her silver jubilee.there were street parties etc...nowadays 90 % of the uk population wouldn't cross the street to see them.

The best part was when it was revealed Charlie and Horseface wouldn't be able to use Windsor because, GOD FORBID, outsiders would have to be able to get married there too!! Oh, the shame of it all. Being married in a place where our underling subjects will do likewise. Pass the brandy.

One think I'm confused about is that its' said Charles's/Camila's relationship stretches back more than 30 years. So who was he unfaithful to first.
Does it make him an adulterer or just unfaithful?

I personally don't care about the wedding, wish the media would stop talking about it, but do think that they have every right to do what they want. People get divorced and remarried all the time, so just let them get on with it and leave it alone.

I also think the monarchy is completely out-dated and pointless. But the truth is (as far as I am aware) they are still a HUGE tourist attraction that brings in a shit-load of tourist money... something our economy really needs I think.

Thats' interesting I thought they were way down. France (a republic) gets far more tourists than Britain does for example.

I think it's rather bittersweet, that these two finally get to be together in a way that's accepted by society. Then again, as Njaal said the other day, it might be a far more lovely story if the two of them weren't such dull people.

As for the idea of a monarchy, it's a nice novelty to an American like me, but like most people, I think there are far better ways that Britain's money could be spent than supporting their dreadfully boring lives.

A lot of people have said Charles was unfaithful to Diana and betrayed her when he had the Camilla relationship, but Charles/Camilla go back more than 30 years and Charles/Di married in 1981 so who was he being unfaithful to first?
Both people (Charles/Diana) were hardly selfless IMO, but I think the couple (that is Camilla/Charles) should be left alone.
I don't hate her, but IMO Camilla shouldn't be Queen. Why? Queen Camilla I just sounds ridiculous.

As for the whole idea of Monarchy, their purpose thesedays is a tourist attraction and for tabloid publications/papparazi photographers to get rich off their arses.

The monarchy should get the axe IMO; while your at it dump the House of Lords too - all those aristocratic fucks don't deserve any power IMO.
