That's what i've heard many times, but imdb and other sources have mentioned a 2006 Miramax DVD release. (?!)No US distributor has the rights to NPS because Jackie has refused to sell to any studio
Rush Hour 3 is a go!

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Clearly, you havent seen his Circus Kids, or any of the casting he has done for his movies, where he prefers local teen idols over actual martial artists!?bradavon wrote:That could be a good thing. I've never thought of Bey as anything but good for martial arts.
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Cheers LD.
Are you sure that's the reason Mark? Surely Jackie could say I'll sell it you but you must agree to not chance it in any way?
The thing is he's sold NPS to HKL and that is no 100% guarantee of it not being messed around with. It's a pretty safe bet (considering it's a HK film) I agree but not 100%.
I sometimes think HKL and PA are run by completely different companies.
Surely Columbia Tristar would be a fairly safe bet, no?Markgway wrote:No US distributor has the rights to NPS because Jackie has refused to sell to any studio.

Maybe he could. But I think he's been burned. Are you sure that's the reason Mark? Surely Jackie could say I'll sell it you but you must agree to not chance it in any way?
HKL won't fuck with the movie and I bet Bey (who I think worked on NPS at some level?) vouched for them. The thing is he's sold NPS to HKL and that is no 100% guarantee of it not being messed around with. It's a pretty safe bet (considering it's a HK film) I agree but not 100%.

I also thought of posting this into the "Brett Ratner about "Rush Hour 3" - Tom will like it - topic, which is more recent, but I think this one is better suited, because Rush Hour 3 now really seems to be a go!
According to Jackie´s official homepage, he and director Brett Ratner toured Paris looking for locations:

I like the fact that Jackie seems to be involved even in looking for locations.

"The Medallion" wasn't an American film. I liked the "Rush Hour"-films as buddy films, but not as Jackie-Chan-movies. The US movie I liked the best with him is "Shanghai Noon" as filmwise it really stands out from the others (cinematography, art design, soundtrack etc.)saltysam wrote:as average as the rush hour movies are, they piss all over some of his other american stuff like the medallion, tuxedo etc.
