12 - It's a western obviously. Seven Words. The first five words are commonly used in so many films from around the globe. The sixth word usually denotes a location or country.

26. Three words. Second word is a colour. Third word is something you might find close to a beach or something.

27. Two words. 90's teen sci-fi horror.

#169: The machine you're hooked up to makes a monotonous sound when this happens to you...

Got #12 (never seen it, but know enough of it with a prompt. Plus that was a damn easy clue :D). Tried all that I could think of for #26 and is #27 directed by Robert Rodriguez? If so, I'll be pissed off that I can remember the director but not the film.

#12 - The female lead is an Italian mega-babe. She was featured as the ultimate symbol of purity and beauty in Fellini's 8 1/2

#26 - One of the stars of this film is quoted as saying something rather stupid in the signature of a BnB member.

#27 - One of the internet's most disgusting ginger critics makes an appearance in this film.

#30 - Hmmm, let me get you a link to classic film scenes ;)

#169 - Yes, it's Keifer Sutherland. The film has many other big name stars in it, and the title is one word.

#217: Isn't this Analyze This? I'm sure it is and I tried various spelling ways.

#217 is not Analyze This, I'm afraid. You have one of the stars correct, but not the other one.

Thanks people, got #169.

Kurgan, check out the film #12. I know that I don't have to tell you what a wonderful film it is, but I still do, he he he!

#1 - has to do with little old ladies and poison.

#3 - the male star's wife just had a baby and wasn't allowed to scream during the birth. This film isn't as well known as most of his other roles from around this time, when his career was taking off into megastardom.

#30 - Earlier film from the same director as #78 & #199, plus about 5 other films on this quiz, too.

Oh, and Kurgan: I had to have help with #3 and #30, too. :D

I was convinced that the person in the background of #3 was a girl, not a guy. Wouldn't he be horribly offended!

As for #30, I didn't know that one, and Njaal had to drop some director-type clues my way before I got it.

Without Njaal's help, I probably would have been forever stuck at around 275.

I've not used imdb, and dammit, I won't! I'll do this using memory (and clues to jog it along) alone.
Got #3, thanks. Having not seen the film, I could barely tell it was him. And yes, he might've been slightly miffed at the mistake ;)

I actually got #1 right (in theory). I just had the order the wrong way round. Poison and old ladies may have been more appropriate :D

Nos. 26, 27, 30 continue to prove problematic. I know the director's of two of the films, but can I get the titles, can I bugger.
Add to this, number 35, 36 and 37 and it's causing havoc in my head!

#35 - The way he's punching that guy, maybe this star was in the mafia after all.

#36 - I had this one wrong at first, but was convinced I had it correct. It certainly LOOKS like a very famous scene from a well-known film, when in fact, it's actually a recreation of that famous scene (but done by the same actor).

#37 - The red-head died not too long ago at a rather young age. It's almost as if part of the film's title came true. :(

Re-visiting #26, #27, and #30 for you . . .

For #26, Gilligan's island had one of these, although I doubt a scantily-clad Ginger or Maryanne would have frolicked around in it the way the star of this film did.

#27 - You know what my job title is, don't you? That makes me part of the unit that is the title of this film. :D

#30 - This is a difficult one, since it's not a really well-known title with big name stars. I think you're going to have to do a little research on the director if you want to figure out this early entry of his into the film noir genre.

OK, got 'em up to #30 (still don't want to check imdb) thanks to clues and memory kicking in (I knew that #27 was an institution of some description, but just couldn't remember it last night).
Strangely enough (or perhaps not so strange :D), it was the key words 'scantily-clad' and 'frolicked' that allowed me to get #26, coupled with the colour and (then looping back to idiotic quotes :))

Still none the wiser for Nos. 35-37. I know of the actors in the first and the third, but actually have difficulty making anyone out in No. 36 (aside from maybe the moustachioed one in the front). Still leaves me none the wiser as to the title though, I'm afraid :(

Ok, including a new batch going up to 50 then, I don't know Nos. 30, 35, 36, 37, 43, 45, 46 and 49.
Lots of them there :)

P.S. I'm sure I have #45; do I have to spell it incorrectly?

68M how do you spell the name of No 6? :D

The guy in No 159 looks like Bill Murray but I cant place the other person.

I cant place No 34 or 95. I'm sure 96 is The Good The Bad The Ugly but it wont let me put it in.

What the hell is 219? I'm sure I recognise the poster for 255? :?

You refuse to install IE? To bad you already have  , if you meant Firefox to bad you're missing out. IE6 really is sooo out of date. If it wasn't MS software NO ONE would be using it any more.
the68monkey wrote:#49 is by the same director as #300 ;)
I know that and know what 300 is but can't place 49? :)
the68monkey wrote:#69 is a pain, isn't it? Go to imdb for the title. Take out all punctuation and spell out every single word -- no abbreviations
Thanks but it's still not excepting it

What should it be? I've tried Kill Bill Volume One and Kill Bill Volume 1
grim_tales wrote:I cant place No 34 or 95. I'm sure 96 is The Good The Bad The Ugly but it wont let me put it in.
It is and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly worked for me.
