If those clues are too obtuse, then let me know.
Not helping right now, but let me ponder them. . . .
thanks

It's not that hard surely?
To be fair, without doing research into the films, I doubt that I'd get many more. My total now stands at 215, thanks to the68monkey's clue, but I don't know how much more energy I can expend on it
It's like DVD Mystère. I tend to know immediately if I've seen the film. Occasionally, I'll guess (trailer shots or something), but if I ain't seen it, I'll get out of there

most defnitely!
The fat guy in the suit threw me. I was thinking this was a film from the '30s or '40s! WRONG!
That leaves me with only ONE!!!! #270, I MUST get it, or :Hangman:

oops! Was supposed to be the "hangs itself" emoticon here on BnB.
Still working on #270, though. AAARRRGGGHHHH! It's a fairly recent Sci-fi film, I take it?

YAY! Just got #270!!!!
I've never seen that film, btw. Looks quite good, though.
Thanks, Kurgan!
Now, may I help anyone who's stuck on some of them?

Well, it was a fortuitous choice of words then on my part

Pretty recent yes.
Another clue would be 'specific skills for specific tasks'...

Well, I'm not so much stuck, as just plain don't know the films
I also don't particularly understand this concept of being able to get misspelt films. Do I have to spell 'em incorrectly?
Vzzbks! (100 Internet Points to anyone who gets that reference)

In keeping with the misspellings in the quiz, the message you get at the bottom of the page when you've guessed all 300 correctly says: "Congratulations! Shouldn't you be at the cineman now?"
As for some help, you could have a look at
www.filmsite.org and look at the greatest film scenes section (
http://www.filmsite.org/scenesA.html )
Also, many of the films are in the top 250 at imdb, if that helps (and in the 300 Greatest Films list at filmsite.org)

Oh, no, that's too much like work and doing proper research. You're veering close to the edge of not being fun there, Miss Monkey!

Then throw me a few numbers of ones you can't get, and I'll give you clues, like the director, or an actor, or a year or something. Okay?

Are you sure? It's quite an undertaking; I've got 216, leaving 74 blank ones.
Well, it's your funeral
I didn't start well, so we'll take it slow. Nos. 1, 3 and 8 mystified me.

#1 - It's an all-time classic Cary Grant film
#3 - EXTREMELY difficult, I thought! The person in the background is a guy whose wife recently had a baby.
#8 - When the clock turns to 6:00 a.m. the alarm goes off, and a brand new day will begin. . . perhaps.
#154 - um, are you spelling the last word incorrectly, perhaps? Look up the official title on imdb.

Try it again, then. I had to enter the title for #109 about a dozen times before it would accept it.

As for #226: I got it right away as I saw Gerd Froebe. I was sceptical at first though as I couldn't remember these people standing in the background.

That I didn't get number 8 without a prompt is very disheartening. Must watch more Bill Murray!

#8 is a hilarious movie. I love it.
As for #115... Bisc has not seen this and dares to post at this board.
