I read the other day that London had taken over Tokyo as the most expensive place in the world to live. I'm not saying which is right, I'm just saying!

Survey results just came out today. Different surveys = different results. This one was compiled by Mercer Human Resource Consulting, and is used to adjust compensation/salaries for overseas employees.

There was an article that went with the list, which I'm too lazy to go back and link to. :P But I do remember it saying that Tokyo dropped from the number one spot due to the decreased value of the yen.

I would have thought Shanghai would be more expensive than Beijing. I've been to Beijing and it doesn't seem as cosmopolitan as Shanghai (although I've not actually been there, just from what I've seen on TV).

Just realized there's not a single German city on that list. Why do you think that might be, LD?

Yeah, noticed that, too. Well, if you look at the number of DVDs I own, he he he!

Seriously though, things are getting really expensive over here as well.
