That's curious. You'd think it would be the other way round and that the Frog, er, French would add their national landmark. C'est la vie. Also the French will get the case too but there Cover for A View To a Kill will be edited to remove the eifel tower which is on our cover, odd but true apparently.

Well you have because I pointed you to the trailergrim_tales wrote:Anyone seen any reviews/screenshots yet?
What like it was confirmed they'd ALL have Mono then only some would. I've learnt not to believe rumours or more to the point when I see an official press release.MLAM wrote:No not yet, but apparently it has been confirmed that the R1 release will be when Casino Royale hits the cinema's and the specs WILL BE IDENTCAL to the R2 releases.

It's worth going back to that link from time to time as Dave F keeps updating it.

So definitely keep your old release if you want all that.
In terms of captions, what i've caught so far is:
Die Another Day & Tomorrow Never Dies - Player generated
The World Is Not Enough - Burnt in.

It's a poor picture from a VHS rip off a ITV recording a few years back but you get the idea.

Eh? shoudn't be there? IT's in all prints I've seen.Markgway wrote:Never..... ever.So basically there are some botch-ups on these "Ultimate Editions". When will DVD companies ever get a DVD right?!
And I see 'OHMSS' is still not quite uncut. The "In my shoulder" line shouldn't be there.
How is it not quite uncut if its there?
Clarify please Mark

Grim's right. The BBFC forced them to dub in Bond saying "...in my shoulder" to disguise that the fact that he was obviously takling about his cock. The BBFC would not have a problem with this today so it's sheer silliness for MGM to leave it in. This is the easiest film to render uncut and they screwed it up again. I have little hope for the others, bar Licence to Kill, which the BBFC have already confirmed. I asked the BBFC a while back about those two films but they didn't know at the time and haven't gotten back to me since. I know pretty much what all the original cuts were to the 007 series so I could tell quite easily if the new ones were uncut just by checking. But it's not like I have review copies is it?

Oh Come on, It's always been like that since it was shown in the theatres so I doubt they'll bother taking the line out ever, if they did then people will bloody complain that the line is missing!Markgway wrote:Grim's right. I know, my point is that they aint bothered reinstating cuts made long ago so its clearly unlikely they'll bother taking out alterations made at request from the BBFC.Markgway wrote:The line wasn't supposed to be there. Stating a simple fact.
I guess you can say the same about restoring any of the cuts from Bond movies.
They've been cut so long... why bother?
I guess there trying to show the films As They Were when shown in the theatres intentionally. BBFC Cuts not included of course.

LOL @ Grim expecting Mark to be the guinea pig. You could always by them. It's unlikely the Brosnan Bonds won't be uncut when the cut footage is much more wildly known about.
Quite frankly I'm much more interested to hear/see if they've actually been remastered than all this talk of cuts (IMO). Isn't that at least half the reason for these re-releases?
Huh? Which DVDs are you talking about? The R4 UE's aren't out yet so you couldn't possibly know and the original R2 DVDs anyway some of which do have the original audio tracks.EvaUnit02 wrote:Since the R2/R4 releases of the pre-Brosnan films are all missing their original audio tracks, their existence is redundant
And the fucking point in that comment was? Where did it come from exactly? I wasn't even part of the conversation.EvaUnit02 wrote: (we know your stance on remixes already Brad, so don't bother to rebut).
Talk about hypocritical. Tell me who sounded luck a stuck record repeating themselves into oblivion over the Matrix? You said it was cut fine but then decided to repeat yourself just so it's rammed down everyone's throat.
Do you know my stance on remixes? Because if you think I think it's perfectly acceptable to only include the 5.1 remix you clearly don't know my stance.
