I so hope that version comes with English subs. I'll pick it up regardless as Michelle Yeoh has so much charisma and is always watchable (she managed to just about save "Touch).

It's a good trailer, but sadly it still doesnt have Yeoh and the Thai fighter. :'(

you hinted a couple of posts before that there might be an uncut release in a few months, but you didnt provide any more info. Why the secrecy? And after seeing this trailer, was it just wishfull thinking on your part, or inside info about perhaps the upcoming DVD release which might have the uncut movie!?

Not over, no, as I cant help from reading it from your earlier info about the Weinsteins and BLogan releasing worthwhile editions of HK classics.

So do you have ANY more info on THAT yet, and perhaps the person who gave you THAT info (regarding old HK classics) also might have filled you in on more info about Fearless!?

OMG has anyone else in the UK seen the Fearless trailer? I saw it twice tonight. It's coming to UK cinemas on the 23rd of June. I really didn't see this one coming. I hope my local multiplex will screen it.

It's being distributed by UIP (who're British) which is jointly owned by Universal and Paramount.

What's UIP's track record with Asian titles? The website: http://www.uip.co.uk/fearless/

According to the BBFC it was passed uncut (yipeey) but the original language is Cantonese, oh dear I'm sure it's supposed to be Mandarin. Oh and it's a 15 rating:

Regardless of cuts or language (at least it's Chinese) I'm there, assuming my locals cinemas show it that is. Which they should. I've not got around to checking this out yet and to see a Jet Li film on the big screen, wow! (I've never done that before).

p.s - The HK DVD is 104 minutes and the BBFC Film length is 103.53 so it looks to be uncut (i.e - the same cut).

havent seen the UK trailer yet, but i saw the advertizment on the side of the bus...it doesnt look cheesy for once lol, even though i saw this already i might go see it at the cinema, if i can get someone to go with, my aunt saw it too so wont go to the movies with me to see it

oh well but im gonna keep an eye out for the uk trailer now, hope my cinema will show it tho..

they dont even mention THIS FILM IS NOT IN ENGLISH cannot wai to watch crowds walk out like so many other asian films I have been in and watched people vacate the room after about 30 minutes of subs.

Do you reckon? Both Hero and HOFD did well here and weren't advertised as being subtitled.

Besides why should they mention it's not in English, that's showing disrespect to the film.

The trailer says:
"Jet Li, in his final martial arts epic".

=No more period wire-fu from Jet.

It doesn't say it's Jet's last Martial Arts film.

It doesn't need to be period to be epic agreed but it does need to be well epic. KOTD epic LOL that's funny.
