Is anyone planning to upgrade their?:
* Goldeneye
* Tomorrow Never Dies
* The World is not Enough
The fact two of them are now uncut means little to me when we all own uncut DVDs anyway. For older films it's a no brainer (except for the lack of Mono/Stereo issue) BUT for these 3 they already have decent PQ, decent 5.1 and decent extras.
I was all set to put mine on eBay in the hope I could get a tenner for the lot (as Romero says they really don't sell well) but then having to fork out nearly forty quid (£35.97 to be exact) seems like a lot of money.
I'll wait to see image comparisons I think as it comes down to AV on these ones. The new extras don't look like they add much over what we have already. DTS would be nice but I don't think it's enough reason to warrant spending 36 quid.
If was I only upgrading 1 then fine but 3 it gets pricey. I pidy the fool who picked up "all" the previous Bond DVDs

I'll be picking up copies of all 3 of those films as well as Die Another Day. I already have uncut copies of all of them but I think I'll wait for the R1 versions of these new "Ultimate Editions" before I upgrade...

I really don't see the point upgrading DAD unless you must have them all looking the same. The actual DVD will be 95% the same. I can't see it being any better looking.
I'll probably end up picking those three when they're under a tenner, £11.99 is a decent enough price for a new release but when we're talking 3 DVDs to buy it's definitely to expensive.
That is of course unless the new DVDs have been heavily remastered with greatly improved DTS, neither of which I can see happening.
I fancy buying TND straight away as it's my fave Bond film but then the other two will really stand out

Is it? The part where Bond manages to skie using a piece of the car is even more impressive/unbelievable (you choose, I know which I would).BiscLimpkit wrote:The invisible car bit was pretty cool...
It got so over the top I thought they were making Casino Royale 2 at one point.
I'm not sure that's the right name but agreed I was shaking my head in disbelief, we're supposed to believe a dark haired Korean is the same person as a white, blonde preppy Brit.EvaUnit02 wrote:The bit where Lee Evans turns out to be a North Korean soldier is incredibly lame.

I didn't find anything majorly wrong with it, thought it starts off rather well actually, i think most people found the whole Bond in space thing to be a bit silly, also Roger Moore was at his all time high with his tongue in cheek comments in this film I think
.
One thing that really helps this film is John Barry's excellent score, such a shame the OST CD is so short and unlikely to be expanded

No not yet, but apparently it has been confirmed that the R1 release will be when Casino Royale hits the cinema's and the specs WILL BE IDENTCAL to the R2 releases.grim_tales wrote:Anyone seen any reviews/screenshots yet?
Also the Aussie's will be getting 2 sets to pick from! One in the Attache case and a more standard hard case which will retail for 100$ less than the case.
Also the French will get the case too but there Cover for A View To a Kill will be edited to remove the eifel tower which is on our cover, odd but true apparently.
