Enter The Dragon 2 disc SE... Which region?

Post by IronMonkey »

Hi guys.

I'm selling my Enter The Dragon (R1) & A Warrior's Journey (R2) DVDs on E-Bay at the moment and was wondering which is the best version of the new edition?

As far as I can tell, all 3 versions (UK, US, AUS) are the same. Can anyone point me towards a comparison review?

I've seen the comparison on http://www.dvdcompare.net but that doesn't mention one of the discs.

To be honest I think I'd prefer an NTSC version of the film since that is what I am used to so I've probably answered my own question about which version to get, but if one version has more extra features than the other, then I'd go for that instead.

Also, where is the cheapest place to get it? CD-Wow would be an obvious choice for the UK version at £14.99 before vouchers, but does anyone know where I can get the R1 version for less than Play's offer of £15.99? (Or any Play vouchers for that matter!)

Cheers people!

You can get the US R1 for about a tenner (give or take) at DVD Pacific IM:

Or about £8ish at DVD Import (I've never used them though):

AFAIK both the r1 and r2 are the same but if you prefer NTSC get the r1.

I think IM meant a comparison between all 3 regions (1,2,4) of the 2 disc SE ;) Based on the DVD Beaver comparison I'd go for the 2 disc R1, its got a much improved image over the old SE and who wants to hear ETD in Cantonese anyway? ;)

I'm sure the other regions are the same image wise.

To me the old and new Warner DVDs look virtually the same. Extras would be the only reason I'd upgrade and they don't interest me enough.
