That is my understanding of it too. The fact that one is gay or straight is just what one is, like, whilst the effeminate voicing etc. is a choice.

Many lesbians would argue to the contrary. ;)

Would I have a "problem" with it? Certainly not. Would I be "comfortable"? Don't know, depends how it was revealed... :?
I'd get used to it I'm sure, as people (Mark?) have said, one's sexuality is in itself not a lifestyle choice, but how you choose to display it is, like the Little Britain Welsh guy :D ;)
One shouldnt always campness with hmosexuality however. If they were really camp/OTT I might well be uncomfortable but I'd get used to it into time. :) As Mark said, it wouldnt stop me loving them less, after all they're my kids :)
Interesting that stereotype is shown though, of camp or of a person who says they are "proud" to be gay. Thats fine, but have you heard of a heterosexual person saying they are "proud" to be straight? ;)

Tom is joking... isnt he? :? :D

I'd have no problem if say my son was gay, I'd just tease him to no end though.

We'll see when the time comes.
But if my future son turns out to be gay, I'm probably gonna go insane (more than I already am, anyway). :?
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

I'm surprised to hear you say that, each to his own.

So a future gay daughter is acceptable? Even if you didn't mean that's very interesting and on society generally that being gay and female is much more acceptable than male and gay.

You were expecting a different reaction from a man who finds women of his own race hideous and who doesn't run a virus scanner?

It would be deliciously hilarious if he was a super-flamboyant stereotype.

"Son, can you sit down or is your arse too sore?"
"Going to go dance in the village then?"

LOL! Love the thread including all of the funny comments so far.

Would I feel comfortable if my kid frenched a person of the same sex? Certainly not if I had a son.

It's a whole different story if I'm thinking about a 20-years-old daughter and her girlfriend making out in front of me. :D

J/k.

Doesn't stop even the idea of getting off watching your daughter kissing someone being sick.

Me personally, I really don't know. To be totally honest with you and everyone, I may be uncomfortable about this. I honestly don't know. I do have some gay friends, but it is different when it your son/daughter

Brad I know what you mean and I agree with you, however LD clearly wrote "j/k" at the bottom in this instance.

If it wasnt LD's daughter is it still sick? Admit it most guys like watching (attractive) girls make out ;)

Can we please delete the grinning smilies and the winking ones, too? I guess we don't need them anymore.
