Explain, I haven't seen the film yet. Jubilee's power in the comics and cartoons is shooting fireworks.

Jubilee was in both the first and the second movie, although only as a cameo... She was one of the student in Proffesor's Xaviers class...

I agree she doesnt have very interesting powers, but she is one of my favourite Xmen in the comics.

Huh? Was she called by her name? I only recently watched the first part again on DVD. The only students I noticed were the obvious ones who showed their powers (Iceman and Fireman / are these their names?). Needless to say that we saw them both in a bigger role in the third part.

The 'fireman' is called Pyro.
I'm not sure if she was mentioned by namein the first one, perhaps only once by Xavier in class, but in the 2nd she was mentioned, I believe even a couple of times.
she doesnt really look like the comicbook version though. She IS chinese, but with long hair. In the comics she's a short haired 'rebel'

But the whole thing about her even being at that school is also different from the comics, as in the comics she was never at Xavier's school as a kid I believe. She met the Xmen when the X-girls were shopping in an LA MALL or something, and she jumped through the teleportation portal, following them back to Australia, where the Xmen then lived.

Thanks for the info about Gambit guys, what really stupid reasons.

Why couldn't they just pick another actor?
EvaUnit02 wrote:If you had actually bothered to stay after the credits like everyone was told to, then you would know that. The clip is on Youtube somewhere.
Calm down Eva you do get angry don't you. I had no idea I should stay until it was to late (i.e - After I'd left). Thanks though I'll check out Youtube.com.
romerojpg wrote:Did you all stop till after the credits then? as the film hasnt ended until the credits have finished, so 99% of people have no even seen the end sequence as I am sure you all walked out before then.
Sadly no but LD has told me what happens.

It really pisses me off when they do this as sitting there for 5-10 minutes after the film is over is VERY boring. I like to stay to read the main credits but otherwise it's to long. You also feel like an idiot when everyone else is leaving.

And as most films don't do this they should warn you before hand.
thelostdragon wrote:Huh? Was she called by her name?
Yes, in the case of X2 anyway.

She's only one of the whiny kids though tbh and doesn't actually does much apart from looking scared.

For those who missed the end credit sequence:

!!! SPOILERS !!! - You can't put spoiler tags around links -

Info about the nurse in the scene:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moira_MacT ... Last_Stand

What does this mean though??? -

"An alternate final scene with Moira is featured in the novelized version of the movie as the final portion of the epilogue."

What accent does Juggernaut have in the film? It'd be retarded if it was anything but Scottish (or at least some other British accent, since yanks confuse accents easily - which is forgiveable), since Xavier (Juggernaut's step-brother) is Scottish by default in the films (yank in all other media incarnations AFAIK - can you imagine Paddy Stewart trying a yank accent?). I wouldn't put it past Vinnie Jones to put on a bad yank accent , like Hugh Jackoff (which crosses vast oceans within a single sentence).
thelostdragon wrote:Huh? Was she called by her name?
Wouldn't know, but the character's real name is Jubilation Lee.

Looks like Fox invoked INTERNET LAW and had the clip of the epilogue taken down.

Juggernaut has Vinnie Jones' accent so English. He didn't change his accent at all. The dude can only play Vinnie Jones let alone a new accent :D
Xavier (Juggernaut's step-brother)
Really. The X-Men all seem to be completely inbred :D

Patrick Stewart's accent is English as it should be, he's not Irish.

There were at least 5 different versions on Youtube.com last night. Has anyone managed to work out how to get the Flash clips out of the source code?

It's working for me via my cache. This version still works, the quality isn't as good though:

p.s - Is Internet Law enforceable?

Thanks.

Did you not read the article Brad?

It's probably better explained in TEH E-LAYWER article.
"You can't do that to me! That's ILLEGAL. I WILL SUE!". Common phrase uttered during a flame war. Usually with more misspelling.

During a big drama meltdown someone claims to have been the victim of some crime such as: slander, defamation, libel, copyright infringement, harassment, spam, forgery, impersonation, whatever. The victim's sock puppets then all rise up to describe and define the alleged crime. In 99.999% of alleged cases what has happened doesn't even come close to meaning what they think it does. To rise to the level of e-lawyer though, requires that one side start spouting off a bunch of legal sounding bullshit. The best e-lawyer will use recycled arguments from TV shows like Law & Order or Matlock. Everyone gets a laugh when, on the advice of an e-lawyer, some aggrieved party actually consults a real attorney and has to pay $200 to be laughed at.

Another type of e-lawyering is a common occurence on communities such as lj_seattle. Someone will ask for advice on a real legal issue. "How do I break my lease?" is always popular. A number of people who think they have experience with this issue ("I'm the janitor at an apartment complex so I KNOW.") will followup with horribly bad advice. Often drama and hilarity ensues in followup comments to the community. Note that in these kinds of queries the people that followup with references to real laws are those that get ignored.
Of course, I posted it in the first place in the place as a joke, Fox would use IRL lawyers that invoke IRL law. I've observed that it's hard for you to pick up on REALLY UNSUBTLE humour.

Yes but it didn't tell me much. So it's slang/a bad joke, I see.

I'd give this a 3/5. My list of X-men films (from best to worst):

X-men 2
X-men
X-men 3

I also took LD's advice and stayed till the end of the credits. Only person left in the hall was me and this fat lady.

Those are the multiple personalities within Romero. One is the dominant 13-year-old boy personality, the other is recessive grown man personality (who usually only upon to earn money, buy alcohol, get access to a restricted age establishment like a bar, nightclub or casino).

How can you say part 2 was a bad X-Men film? Worse than Part 1 even. It introduced lots of new characters and added lots of depth to the world.

Any source links please? Did you like X-Men 3?

It "really" pisses me off when people add something in like this without bothering to include their source? It happens to often.

I pressed a button wrongly, pretty obvious really.

Part 3 was the worst X Men film, part 2 is a masterpiece and part 1 is great.

Part 3 looses out as it forgets everything that came before it that made part 1 and 2 so good, story! and the charecters! even the music.

Still I enjoyed part 3, but it just does not feel like the same series at all and ignores all the things that made the other films so great like Wolverines background and Rogue. Instead they introduce about 20 new charecters and most are barley given anything to do sadly :(

and no need for a link Bradavon its confirmed :) you dont have to beleve me as you will find out in a few months when the extended dvd comes out.

and yes I stopped until the end.

Only to you. The rest of us were born without the ability to read your mind.

Especially when you like B-Movie crud and could've easily been saying:

Why do you always assume I don't believe you? I believed you when you said KOH would be more than £12 at CD WOW, it doesn't mean I don't want to check for myself. I believe you now but you must've got your information from somewhere, it's not much to ask to see the same source you read.

I always want to see a source link as for a start they often give more detail than the poster thinks to mention and without a source link how are we to know it's real.

Thats the thing I have no idea where I saw it and no way I am looking on all the sites I regulary go :) its not worth spening time searching, it was the producer who said it by the way, he was adimant that they never cut the film to start with apparently, but still he says an extended version will be out. When is another matter, will they release it straight away, or wait a year.

I agree with Romero's order of preference. I won't be surprised if X3 is released in an extended form but I doubt it'd improve the film, unless it was subjected to a drastic re-edit.
