Fantasy World Cup Game 2006

Post by grim_tales »

Just spotted this on the PL Fantasy Game site:

Fantasy Premier League International, where you manage a team selected from Premier League players performing at the FIFA World Cup 2006, will launch on Monday, 15th May.

So we can have a BnB World Cup League (sort of), I cant understand why you cant have a team based on ALL players performing there, and not just from the Premiership, I mean it wasnt like that for the Euro 2004 game!

Here's my team:

1: Lehmann (Germany)

2: Terry (England)

3: Eboue (Ivory Coast)

4: Ricardo Carvalho (Portugal)

5: Gerrard (England)

6: Alonso (Spain)

7: Park Ji-Sung (S. Korea)

8: Gilberto Silva (Brazil)

9: Henry (C) (France)

10: Owen (England)

11: Van Nistelrooy (Holland)

Bench

Parreira - Manager (Brazil)

13: Del Horno - Defender (Spain)

Can someone create a BnB League please?

Here's the code for Bullets n Babes league: 136574-25375

JS Soria:

Lehmann

Gallas
Ricardo Carvalho
Lee Young-Pyo

Ballack
Park Ji-Sung
Cristiano Ronaldo
Makelele

Henry
Owen
Baros

Bench:

Aragones
Eboue

I may still make some line-up changes later. Too bad the game is limited to EPL players.

Actually I swapped RVN for Borgetti (Mexico) and also sold Del Horno and put Gallas (France) on the bench. I might make more changes nearer the time though.

Interestingly all transfers are free for this game, this could make it easier hopefully 8)

I think the trasfers are free until the things starts, as obviously people can still get injured and shit like that.

Btw: it's really shitty that there are so few players to choose from. I havent finished my team yet as this is bollocks. Just the EPL players and a few others are in there.

Yeah I know what you mean, you should get the whole world squads to choose from. In Euro 2004 we had ALL the European players to choose from, not just the EPL players.
Maybe Toge's game is better?

BTW in the transfers section it clearly says transfers are free.

Transfers

After selecting your squad you can still deal in the transfer market. The rules are as follows:
Stage Transfers
Before the Group phase 1 deadline Unlimited
Between the Group phase 1 and Group phase 2 deadlines Up to 4
Between the Group phase 2 and Group phase 3 deadlines Up to 4
After the Group phase 3 deadline Unlimited

Transfers will not deduct any points from your total.

Yeah, just seems the better out of the two world cup management games: 1 you can only select a few players playing in the world cup, the other has all of them. Seems like an easy choice to make ;)
I'm not gonna bother with 2 teams in 2 fantasy leagues, so I picked Toge's.
