Heh heh, yeah somewhere I got confused after reading Taiwan. I think I must have jumped to the conclusion after reading thtat Thailand was getting the uncut version.bradavon wrote:No they don't check closer. Yes asia don't sell Thai DVDs.f_drew wrote:Yeasia have got the Thai version up now.

After realising that this is the Taiwan release, not Thailand I have no idea whether it's uncut or not !bradavon wrote:Well they are known for uncut films.thelostdragon wrote:Uncut? Does that mean the Michelle Yeoh-part is included?

No... not the UNCUT version, just a slightly less cut version. Michelle Yeoh is still out, but they kept the fight in that jet has with the Thai fighter.bradavon wrote:Are they???after reading thtat Thailand was getting the uncut version
Dont you just love all those different cuts of the same movie coming out!?
There really should be a law against this shit. Or directors should get some balls like Miyazaki, and demand his movies will be released UNCUT.

Why cut the fights in the first place? I'm sure they'll be tops.
I'm not surprised the Thais were pissed. If it was artistic reasons they cut him it makes you wonder why they gave in so easily.

That says Michelle Yeoh is back. What idiot would cut her in the first place! Jeezf_drew wrote:http://www.twitchfilm.net/archives/005285.html

Cause they gave the ,pvie to 2 yankees to cut it up before it would be released. The yankees thought the movie was to long because apparently yankees cant stand reading subtitles for longer then 90 minutes orso.bradavon wrote:Why cut the fights in the first place? I'm sure they'll be tops.

Seems like Yankees like to CUT great asian movies shorter, yet they like to edit mediocre movies into LONGER cuts, like Alexander, King Arthur, etc etc...
Bastards.

Hmmm... I heard different from some other site a week orso ago (which said the Thai fighter was back in, but not yeoh), so let's wait and see...
I really hope this will be the REAL uncut version though...

If Michelle Yeoh is in the Thai cut and it's uncut I may do the unthinkable and get it regardless of subs.
Thai DVDs are cheap
Michelle Yeoh (and Jet Li) are infinitely more charismatic than the likes of Tony Jaa. They make better films too.

I agree they are way more charismatic. Jet is a natural talent on-screen, not just action, but also in acting. I think he's a naturally gifted actor, not on par with someone like Tony Leung or Leslie Cheung or something, but very good nonetheless.
But I do think Tony Jaa also has charisma, and he's just starting out in movies, and so far his roles havent really been well written (to say the least), so there's still hope for him. Tony is alot more likeable in his first movies then Jackie Chan was
I seriously doubt I'll buy the Thai uncut version if it has no subs. I've had it up to here (imagine me pointing somewhere above my head) with all the fucking around with cut versions and no subs versions etc. I'll just download a bootleg and subs, and once they finally release this movie uncut and subbed, I'll spend my money on it.
I'm not doing the Ong-Bak thing again.
