The Premier Asia-version comes in its international cut (2 hours 7 minutes) and the missing scenes are available on the second disc as a special feature called (ed.: surprise, surprise) 'Deleted Scenes'.

It's not decent. But it's pretty much our only option. :D

The R4 is better - Same AV but much better subs means it's better. True there aren't many Director's Cut DVDs.

Still I own the UK R2 (my fave), R3 Korean and R4.

I've always found CJ Entertainment to produce quality DVDs.

But you should also note that the subs on the R3 are unusually bad.

So Tom, is the R4 not a good option? I thought about getting it, as it is the director's cut, it has a good picture quality and I'm sure it has good English subs.

I remember reading somewhere that picture quality was bad. Can't remember where, though. :|

The UK R2 is absolutely gorgeous. It's worth getting for the extras.

Keep up LD I said I own it and the R3 :D

The AV is the same as the Korean DVD, it's obvious they used the Korean Master and maybe DVD but if it is NTSC to PAL it's one of the better ones. The colours, sharpness etc . . . is identical.

The R4 subs are yellow and a big improvement. The R3 subs are a real mess. It's only has one 10 minute featurette. If they released it today I suspect it would be a 2 disc release.

Cool. I don't care about subs being yellow or white. They just shouldn't be pink or so.

Yellow is good if they have a black outline.

Since you ask:
-PA is edge-enhanced.
-PA looks like piss.
-PA is horizontally cropped.

-CJ is darker.
-CJ is softer.

= CJ Entertainment wins by a mile.

CJ actually looks closer to the colour of urine, especially if you have really bad kidneys. I've seen a lot worse edge-enhancement and I'd easily prefer that over a dark and soft picture.

Agree, I didnt think the R4 was that bad until I saw the PA DVD, the difference in AV is startling.

To be exact you're comparing the CJ with the PA. The R4 hasn't been uploaded and seeing as you're the person with the R4 you've just nominated yourself :D

Well I reckon they used the CJ as the master yes BUT it's more than likely going to be PAL so for a start won't be identical. The colours and hole look of the DVD is the same.

I should say now my DVD is a direct copy from the R4 (shush  ) so while almost the same it won't be an accurate representation.

It's the only other decent Director's Cut DVD so for a start that means something.

You don't have a DVD-ROM? LOL you don't want to be using a Digital Camera.

Grim moved into his house well over 6 months ago (something like that) and still hasn't plugged his Home Cinema setup back in :D . It's going to be a while before he buys a DVD-ROM.

Grim I'll "probably" buy it someday Tales
