Jesus! this thread gone to the dogs!

I couldnt care less if anyone thinks I am gay personally, its the net and we wont meet and I could be a woman for all you know. I only said Not in a Gay way for a laff, I am not attracted to men, but I know what I think looks good (George Clooney?).

The stuff about Aborigine's!

crikey but harshe aint you people? I am sure they would love to hear comments like that, if I said that about some race, people, colour and type. I would be cruicified, I am sure, as I dont get away with anything like that as some people love to throw race hate comments about and see what they think are comments, yet others get away with it.

People annalise things a bit too much and make up an image in their mind of what they Think the comments mean, and ussually they are totally wrong. In real life we would comment on these things instantly and sort it out, no mistakes and no miscommunications as it happens in seconds. People dwell on words on the net on forums for hours or days, until the person responds.

Its shit and people need to chill out. I get flack for shit, but others get away with murder compared to me and the voices of reason just keep quiet, funny.

I really don't think you're a woman

How about you actually see an Aborigine in the flesh before you comment.

Seriously for a minute you really should travel out of the UK a bit. It's no where near as scary as you think it is.

Not true, Eva has been blasted too. I didn't just go off on one saying who ugly fuckers they are like you would I did say my comments were going to be insulting. In other words "tact".

Without the addition of body language and facial expressions it's going to happen. Which is why you have to be as articulate as possible and even then misunderstandings are going to happen.

Arnie being President is never going to happen you have to be born an American to be eligible.

Thanks for the heads up that's a decent price. I can beat it @ £12.99:

It looks like they ship outside the EU: http://www.bensonsworld.co.uk/service/terms-v2.asp

I've used them a few times, decent company.

Cheers Brad. But La Haine is still cheaper for me via sendit.

Sendit price inc. shipping to NZ:-
£15.59

Bensons price inc. shipping to NZ:-
£15.99

Fair enough. Sendit are the better of the two companies. Benson's are good but Sendit have the small edge on customer services.

Benson's postage addition is loads.

First review.
The original French soundtrack is offered in both 2.0 and 5.1 mixes. The latter is immensely satisfying, with every beefy hip hop bassline hitting home hard. Removable English subtitles are at hand for the French-illiterate.
Awesome, removable subs. The older Optimum release had burnt-in subs.

Apparently mine was shipped like a week ago, but it is yet to arrive. Sendit are usually really fucking fast (DVD shipped on Thursday, arrives on Monday), but fucking road workers have been laying new drainage pipes directly in front of my house for the past week and the posties have probably been scared off by them. On Monday my mum came home for lunch but couldn't go back to work until 4.00 becuz her car was trapped in the driveway by the road works.

I hate when that happens. It's even more annoying when really obscure DVDs (like from Thailand) never seem to appear.

It takes to long to upload them so I usually plump for a similar DVD.

Watched this tonight, was a superb film. Glad I bought it.

BTW the reviewer lied, the subs are still burnt-in.

As do I. But this release is the best English-friendly one out there, so one has no other options really.

EDIT: Ah, I see the French DVD has removable subs. No way in hell I'm double-dipping though.

Are they definitely burnt in or forced by the player?

It's possible for subs to be forced but still say "no subs" when you press the subtitle button on your remote.

Personally as long as the subs are decent quality I could't care less tbh. I'd prefer if French and Spanish films didn't have burnt in subs but it's no big deal. Every other language I'm never going to learn (especially Asian languages) so will have subs always on anyway.

They are most definitely burnt-in and not player-generated, no selectable sub streams at all. They've reused the disc from the SE from a couple years ago for sure, don't let that stop you from buying this otherwise fantastic DVD set though.

I thought they might what with the same extras. It doesn't at all but I already own the French DVD (which I still haven't seen) so I'm in no rush.

Fingers crossed it will be re-released as a "standard no tin (hopefully) without OST CD version".
