today is awesome since my parents arent home and im having a blast with paint. finally i got to just throw it everywhere (aslong as its on the paper of course) and just make a mess! although i did just ruin one of my moms new dishclothes by picking up oil paint by mistake insead of acrylic and rubbing that in...oops. but ha its so cool to just go nuts, with loud music and paint and just yay. and the kitties just walked across one of them and has multi colored paws.... now this is what holidays are about ^^

no im not weird! im working on my art/photography project and i just wanted a cool mounting background...!! although the oil paint fumes have made my head hurt but yeah, not weird! i can draw and paint normally, i just dont want to

Sitting in the office and boring my ass away. The printer is really lame. I wanted to print the script for my next short and every 5 minutes it prints one page. Argh! My new colleague here must be wondering why I'm printing a single page every 5 minutes.

Printers never work when you need them. Especially HP.
How many pages is your script? How many pages would a normal script be?

It's a short one so I didn't write more than 14 pages. But the printer is finally done and guess what Yi... it IS an HP! LOL!

And Shen, as for what I AM supposed to be doing... I AM supposed to have a big ass vacation, he he he! Guess I won't though and so I ended up in this office writing some stuff for my editor.

14 pages: I have no idea if that's a lot or a little for a script of a short. Will it be a thriller or an action movie or what?

I SHOULD be doing something constructive with this time I'm now having, like learning a bit more 3d Max, or Vue D'Esprit ... or I should be drawing and learning how to color them... or I should be training a bit, or at the very least just watch some anime (restared watching Hajime No Ippo, plus I downloaded Initial D (anime)), yet I'm just clicking and browsing a bit...

Gawd I'm lazy. I wish it was very sunny and warm outside, so I could just lie in the yard reading my Kurosawa book or whatever..

I know your situation. But trust me, once you got up and actually started doing one of the things mentioned above, you'll be very happy at the end of the day.

Did you follow any course in scriptwriting or are you selftaught!? (as in how you could best present your script, lay-out and such)

The thing is that time really flies by during the period where your still contemplating what your going to do with your day, so before you know it, the day is gone already

It really reminds me of those Calvin and Hobbes cartoons.

It's a biography about both Kurosawa as well as Mifune. it's pretty interesting yet it does all become a giant mess in your head, with all the japanese names (and they all seem to have multiple names as well, like nicknames, married names, blahblah...) and it's pretty long (about 650 pages)
It's very well written though.
It also really shows that Hollywood's ignorance towards asian movies certainly isnt something 'new', cutting up many many classics on their initial release.
I scanned the cover in for ya...

I bought it in Amsterdam in The American Bookstore, when it was on sale for 10 euro...

Partly.
Obviously you could tell the age from the screenshot (black & white, ratio) , but I wasnt sure which movie it was. I thought it was a Mifune baseball-movie he did for another director, but that turned out to be wrong.
When you read the book, there are so damn many movies being talked about, that it will probably require a 2nd read to really give them all a place in my head, cause at the moment I have trouble remembereing all the titles and the movies that go with those titles.

I didnt recognise the actress though...

I need 6 hours, that's pretty much it really. Try it, especially if that's the time you get up before going to work anyway. It allows me to watch so much more crap Hong Kong cinema than you lot ever could...
