i dont see any arguing going on here tho, rather mark asking questions and hussain explaining, then mark contradicting what hussain said andd so on... i dont think they disputed the fact of allah and/or god, but rather the ideology in islam...

the only thing i disagree with in thes topic is the whole thing of fat and ugly women against normal....would you care to explain what normal is mark? just becuase someone is outside of the norm doesnt mean they have any less right to be appreciated. sorry but i guess my complaining about the shallowness of people means that i am, to quote mark, the lard ass with the crooked teeth. then so be it but i thik your depiction of woman as anything other than normal to be ugly is downright disprespectful and i am disgusted by any such person who would thnk that women who dont look like everyone else in such that they are thin and "pretty" should hide and have reason to hide. its not really in ideology that should belong in the 21st century when supposedly we have more diversity in culture/ideas and acceptance, im afriad i have yet to see this acceptance

I already did a few posts back. By "normal" I mean not noticeably fat or ugly. Not someone you would see on the street and think "Damn, they look bad". That's not sexist because I know women do the same thing - not only about men but other women. We all do unless we're self-righteous types who are 'above' that sort of thing...
just becuase someone is outside of the norm doesnt mean they have any less right to be appreciated.
They have the right to be appreciated, but maybe not the means, at least in terms of looks. We can't help the way we look, but equally we can help what we find attractive. It's chemical. I would never go up to a woman and say "Christ, you're ugly missus!" but I might naturally think it.
sorry but i guess my complaining about the shallowness of people means that i am, to quote mark, the lard ass with the crooked teeth.
You're not a lard ass, the teeth I've no idea about. :D You can joke because you know that my description isn't you, so that gives you the confidence to defend those women we both feel are less attractive. A kind of noble feminist act that's reactionary, but not grounded in realism. All people are not created equal.
i am disgusted by any such person who would thnk that women who dont look like everyone else in such that they are thin and "pretty" should hide and have reason to hide.
I'm not saying any women should hide. That was a joke - which seemed to amuse Bisc Limpkit at any rate. You've picked up on and twisted one fragment of my argument, which was to actually say no women should cover up. I used "normal" (and I'm wishing I'd picked a better term) women to emphasise that both men and women enjoy seeing faces and bodies of those we find attractive and there's nothing virtuous in covering up. It's conservatism at it's most puritanical.

The character of Santa is actually a collusion between The Tooth Fairy and The Easter Bunny both of whom have wicked sense of humour. Each year they take turns dressing up to visit the good children. The bad children get a visit from The Bogeyman (actually Little Miss Muffet in a costume... but don't tell anyone I told you that)

I'm not religious in any way, so I'm gonna stay out of this one. However, religions are often getting a bad name cause people are misinterpreting the 'rules', or are just abusing them.

However, I cant for the life of me understand why some religious would be willing to KILL for their faith, which is just that: a FAITH. There's no proof any of it is actually true. No proof at all. Sure Jesus existed and Mohammad existed and Joseph Smith existed etc etc... but you either believe they spoke to 'God' or 'Allah', or you dont.
However, you cant just kill people who disagree with that believe.

Anyway... I just spoke to God this morning (collect call btw: cheap bastard) and he told me to tell all you guys to stop bitching around, accept and respect the differences, and stop making a big deal out of all this religious stuff, cause in the end, we all want the same things in life, no matter who you are and what you belief in: love, respect, health, nice future for your kids, etc etc...

Ow... and if you disobey his word, he will strike down and ehmmm... do .. ehmm... actually absolutely nothing at all... I guess... but you should obey him anyway.

Life is too short for all this arguing shit.

Ditto on what the dutchboy said. :)

I don't come to BnB for the answers to life's big questions. I come here for mindless fun and entertainment. :D

So, wait, you're not only taking the piss out of the age, but also her gender?! You're a braver man than I, sir. I only managed the age before I withered :)

As for the whole debate... things are far too easy to get out of context which is why I gave up explaining stuff a long time ago. I remember I made a few posts on this kind of topic on the old BnB and then drew a line under it. Perhaps I lacked the eloquence needed, but some people just didn't get it...
People have beliefs. A belief is something that one holds dear. Mark has his beliefs regarding certain things, LD has his and so on. Let's leave it at that, because the tone of this topic shifted from genial to something else a while back...

Why can't we be friends...? Why can't we be friends....? :D

I want to make it clear that just because I don't respect a person's religion - whatever it may be (and I could find fault with all of them I'm sure) - it doesn't mean I don't like you as a person. Even Yi-Long.

So peace my brothers and all that shit... 8)

sure all friends now...

i just get mad at the whole looks thing, people may not be equal in sense of looks but i thinkthey should be treated equally. but mainly since i have troubles with my own self-appearance. at one time i was huge...13 and 13st. although i lost alot of that now. i remember the bullying i used to get for being fat, and it just annoys me that people tend not to see past the outside. also my mom is pretty big too (18st) and the remarks she gets pisses me off too much

but yeah anyways, i wants particulalry aiming at you wit hthe " disgust's me " remark, your not as bad as some people. just come across as pig-headed sometimes, but i love you really :D (not in that sense shut up :)

I would never treat anyone as a lesser person because of their looks. But you can't help whom you're attracted to. That's all I'm really saying. Some women MIGHT find me unattractive - hard to believe but it COULD happen - but I would expect them to be sensative about it.

You look very slim in your photo. I'm a bit overweight myself (too lazy, unhealthy diet).
your not as bad as some people.
Compliment of the month? :D

I'm a metrosexual too, I guess. I have sex on the metro all the time... j/k :D

Seriously, whenever a chesthair comes up, I pull it out. I shave the armpits once every 3-4 months orso, I use lotions for my skin (although I've only started doing that the last year orso, plus honestly, I dont really need it (yet?). But they say it's best to start too early rather then too late.
I try and work out to at least have a decent body. I'm not ripped or anything, but it's OK. No fat and lumps etc.
I dont see why a men shouldnt take care of himself!?

Hairy people: Blegh. :D

Men aren't meant to be pretty. Rugged? Yes. Manly? Yes. Pretty? No.

If being clean, fresh and pretty means I'm a faggot, fine with me :D
At least I dont look like Alf. :D

Being hirsute doesn't mean unclean you ignoramous. People with body hair can still shower you know? It's actually a sign of virility. If you prefer to be all smooth like a baby's bum that's up to you...

Lon Chaney is The Wolf Man. Damn, don't you know your Universal Horrors?
