Hitchhikers

Post by BiscLimpkit »

You guys ever come across hitchhikers before? Would you ever pick one up? I drove past one on the dual carrigeway last week, on my way to Glasgow (from Aberdeen). I felt pretty guilty for not picking him up but I couldn't make out what his sign said...

Plus it was snowing and the poor guy must've been freezing. I feel rotten for not helping him out. :(

Depends on the sex sadly, I know thats probibly silly, but men do more bad crimes than women. Not many serial killer women in history :) and ladies look better I guess :D

But I dont think I would ever stop, maybe one day is it worth the risk of taking a looney into your car?

I always pick up hitchhikers (when they look "normal").
I wouldn't pick up someone who looks physically stronger than me, though (for safety reasons). :D
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

A lunatic isn't going to wave a hook in his hand to let you know he's crazy. He'll probably appear normal. Otherwise nobody would stop. It's a dangerous business for both passenger and driver. Even if one isn't a Rutger Hauer, they may still be a carjacker or something. I wouldn't stop. It's sad that's the world we live in but you have to look out for yourself. Maybe if it was an attractive woman I might think about it... I know that's sexist. But so fuck? :D

NEVER PICK UP A STRANGER!

Didn't John Ryder teach you guys anything?!? :o

Seeing Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher when I was in high school permanently instilled in me the fear of handsome psychopaths asking for a ride.

Everything comes back to The Hitcher, I'm afraid. All the shit that C. Thomas Howell had to put up with is not worth the risk of feeling good for giving someone a ride.
