Ryuhei Kitamura's ALIVE now on R1 dvd!

Post by romerojpg »

Well for some reason I thought I would check Alive again and see whats going on with it and if its ever coming out in america with subs! and boy I found out its out! it came out on the 26th October! in norma and Directors cut!

Directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (VERSUS and AZUMI, GODZILLA FINAL BATTLE 2005). A Sci-Fi Thriller combining the tension of Vincenzo Natali's CUBE and Kitamura's own VERSUS. For the brutal murder of his girlfriend's rapists, Tenshu is sentenced to die in the electric chair. Miraculously surviving the chair he is given a choice to: burn in the chair once again or take part in a vicious experiment pitting him against another prisoner and a destructive alien life force

so I am ordering it from dvdsoon now as its under a Tenner there, and while I see no specs it should be a 2 dvd edition as its a lot more than the normal cut, I have seen the words featurete and things like that so its got extras, when I get it I will see how many, I am not expecting Versis or Azumi, but hope its worth a watch at least, more Sky High than the other Kitimura films I guess :)

Good man Romero, I'd urge you to check this out because it's the world's most underrated flick (next to AvP). In many ways actually, it's quite similar to AvP.

Good to see this on R1, I hope MB do a good job and have decent extras...

Well MediaBlasters are a strange company, sometimes they make super dvds, and other times they messup big time, hope they get it right this time, it seems ages ago since I had the UNSUBBED Japanese dvd and was gutted at no subs :(
