I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

How long do they nurse? After that, I'd imagine they'd eat bite-size pieces of what the adults eat -- corn, nuts, etc.

I'm off work today, so I'll go consult Mr. Google. ;)

My cat did. I saved him just in time (I hope)

Well, he's sleeping on my lap now.
My girlfriend went to the vet to get a "rodent survival kit".

We'll see how it goes.

Well, apparently cows milk will kill them. So you can strike that off your list Tom.
It's ostensibly rather specific, but the big thing is to not feed it yourself.

Wow, there's a wealth of info on the net for raising orphaned squirrels. Guess you can start here:

http://www.squirrels.org/raising.html

Depending on what type of squirrel it is, seems like there's a different site for each one. Whodathunkit?

Good luck, Dr. Doolittle. :)

It's a FRENCH squirrel! Just give it some wine and cheese, and it should be fine. :P

OK, I gave him some mashed nuts and some mashed banana.

I'll be feeding him milk at two-hour intervals from 8pm to 8am. 'tis going to be a looong night. :D

Same kind of squirrel, only 4 weeks old.

I've just sent my girlfriend on a patrol, she's looking for its mother.

Every year, it's the same thing. Every year I get some kind of wounded animal and have to take care of it.
2002 - 7 kittens.
2003 - An owl.
2004 - A german sheperd with a broken leg.
2005 - A baby seagull with a broken wing.
2006 - A squirrel.

Well...The story is over.

Mama squirrel came looking for baby squirrel.
I put baby squirrel under her tree, she came down and picked him up. Haven't seen them since.

Happy Ending. :)
