DM 2 is his best movie ever, and I rate it even as the best martial artist movie ever made, all the fights in it are amazing, I think i am going to watch it again soon now that i mention it..

I dont think I rate it as the best ever, cause I felt Fist of Legend was even better, which is probably my all-time favourite MA movie. Jet is just so fucking cool in that, and the fight scenes are all outstanding and awesome.
Story is a classic one, and they have added a bit more depth to it this time, with more respect towards the japanese, and more depth into Jet's character. It's a completely different Chen Cheh then the one Bruce lee played though... but I had no problems with that.

"Fist of Legend" is brilliant. It is probably the only movie where I prefer it's US edit. The new music is so much better than the original GameBoy tune.

Oh, and it's Chen Zhen. Chen Cheh is Changh Cheh's brother.

FYI: The Chen Zhen character, although he existed in real life, is completely fictious. It is just known that he was one of Fok Yun Gap/Huo Yuen Jia's students. They made him the lead role of the Fist movies because his name sounded best.

I have lots of tapes still that i wanna watch. From old Jim Carrey clips on the Letterman show, to Made in Hong Kong VHS tapes I bought for about 25 euro a piece (They were about 50 guilders here!) which I wanna rewatch. Many of those flicks STILL dont have decent DVD releases, so yeah, I'd love seeing them again. However, my VHS player died a long long time ago and havent had a serious urge to buy a new one. It would take in precious space and I'd hardly ever use it.

Here's hoping that in my lifetime, they WILL release decent versions of Bride with White Hair, Fist of Legend, Pedicab Driver, DM2, the Wong Kar Wai movies, etc etc.

Really? Didn't notice that. I have the Ritek DVD of this and downloaded the Dimensions version, as I couldn't be arsed to finance criminals.

However, my DivX version looks and sounds better than my Ritek DVD which is such a shame. So Keung... while you're at it... could you please create a definite version of "Fist of Legend". My personal definite version would look like this:

- Dimensions Picture Quality
- Dimensions Music
- Cantonese Soundtrack
- Cantonese Beginning
- Cantonese Ending
- Opium scene included as well.

The english language version of FOL was on BBC a couple of years ago. I gave it a try, but after a few minutes the horrible dubbing had me turn it off. I'll never ever spend money on that release. I probably wouldnt even watch it if I would get it for free.

It's incredible, a company has the rights to the very best movie of one of the most popular and best MA stars in the WORLD, and they cant even release a decent DVD. It makes me mad even thinking about it.
Then again, most of Kurosawa's movies took 15-20 years or longer to be released in such a way that we could watch them uncut/subbed...

First moving footage. I wouldn't say that it spoils anything. Jackie fights Yuen Biao and changes the baby's diapers. Unfortunately, it's only about 5 seconds.
