Considering the RRP and label (Prism) I'm not expecting much.
It reminds me of the days when HKL released old school titles.

I'm not expecting much either... £7.99 is hardly budget these days.
I've seen two of the three titles (they ain't much cop) and the third isn't terribly well-liked.
Expect full frame and dubbing as per standard. (I hope I'm wrong).

I agree with Gasteropod - pretty good cover art.
I'm not that clued up on school but may check some of these titles out given the price.
Will they be original language though?

For an RRP it is. They should be less than that.

LOL, I remember the days when reviewers were considering £12.99 for MIA's Born Invincible disc to be budget
This new lot - great covers but I bet they'll be the same old transfers. Would love to be wrong, though

LOL, can't believe their logo is Hwang Jang-lee from my favourite kung fu movie ever, "Invincible Armour". Hope they'll release that one with a better transfer than the current UK disc and with original soundtrack and subs.

Sorry, but to me £7.99 is not a budget RRP.
That would be £5.99 or less.

It's an RRP. Most RRP's are £19.99 so £7.99 RRP is budget.
I don't think I've ever paid the RRP price.

Attack of the Joyful Goddess aka Attack of the God of Joy isn't as bad as it could have been; but it's Chang Cheh past his peak. Don't expect Shaw Bros quality from these Taiwanese-lensed indies.

If nothing else at least one of them sounds to be Widescreen. Still a complete cock up so it doesn't mean much.

I would take letterbox with a pinch of salt.
It's probably still badly cropped.

The Kung Fu DVD market is close to dead in the UK.

Yeah, a real shame. But, really, aside from HKL, it was mostly cheapskate boot quality stuff. The Shaws never took off either.
But I think a company like Arrow COULD market some 70s Golden Harvests under an exploitation banner, such as Shameless is doing with Giaollos
