I watched tonights episode, thought it was good. Seems to be a love/hate series then.. (a few people on Mols board - me, Brass and Jazz love it, some hate it).
Admittedly I did expect one person to say "Whats the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost" (!) when he first sees the vision of his father All the flashbacks are a little confusing.
When Jack went out to save that guy from drowning why does he jump down his throat and whinge that he didnt want saving?
I'm upto S2E14 now, they take forever to screen here (NZ is only upto S2E3 now) so I download them as soon as they're online usually (after they finish broadcasting in the States and once someone seeds the torrent).
Just watched ep 17 of season 2 this past Wednesday, and it was much better than some of the previous ones have been. Still, this season has been a bit of a disappointment after last season, which had me craving each episode like a pathetic, addicted junkie.
One big point of irritation:
It's been a few episodes since Claire and crew made some really important discoveries, yet absolutely nothing has been mentioned to the other survivors since then. That seems to be the pattern with episodes this season -- big discoveries or revelations for certain characters, but absolutely no mention of what would seem to be important developments to any of the other characters. Is this just poor planning due to too many writers, or is this part of some larger, nonsensical PLAN?
Locke's already ferverishly trying to remember the image he saw on the wall. It's a description of the island; a big 'You Are Here' type with a big question mark in the middle. More please!
Well, I thought it was good, tbh. The eps had been dragging for awhile, with the exception of "Maternity Leave." I thought "Two for the Road" was a great return to form.
So why so mad? Did you have the hots for "muchacha"?
Well, most people have the hots for "muchacha", even you in your friskier moments, I'm willing to gamble. Or wishing. I always get those mixed up but (I'm answering this in two places now) just flabbergasted (same sorta thing as gobsmacked, only with more of the letter 'f') as to how that panned out.
All these theories are floating around now, swirling in my brain... I'm definitely going to watch M:I:III!
Grim: Haha, well I did actually, because it was that guy from his flashback where they were both running in the stadium. The guy kept calling him 'brother' in the flashback, and then when he called him 'brother' in the hatch, Jack realised it was him.
Do you think Shannon was just imagining seeing Walt? Do you remember in that episode "White Rabbit" from S1 when Jack was imagining seeing his father, and he was told he hadnt slept in 6 days or something
Gah! A message for me, but it's spoiler-tagged! I want to read it, but what about if it spoils something for me? What do I do?!
With Jack imagining things, it was easy to think that he was hallucinating about his father for a number of reasons: Jack having unresolved relationship issues; the lack of sleep; his father not being on the plane and most importantly, being dead by this stage.
Shannon, on the other hand, was in mentally the best place she'd been since her brother died and would have no real reason to hallucinate about Walt. However, Walt acting as he did is what causes the doubt, so it's a tricky one. I willing to go with 'not-hallucinating, Your Honour' as my option. But those crafty writers... you never can tell
And sorry again, but what the bloody hell happened in Lost this week?! (See, I've mellowed slightly.)
It won't spoil anything for you - its about the first 2 episodes again.
BTW at the end of Episode 2 I also noticed Jin said something like "Udders.." or "Utters..", whether he means other survivors or "The Others" I don't know.
lol I know that, its just in his Korean accent, coupled with the fact his character is really unable to speak English (he's just picking up a few words), I think he says what sounds more like "Udders..."
