On ADVDG, Linn1 (Linn?) said this:
No cheek involved. The plan is to release all the Lee films in double disc sets with the new transfers, and then release a boxset sometime next year with some more bells and whistles. Considering I know they've been looking for the extra footage from this film, this may be a very good sign
When "all the films" are mentioned I presume that means WAY will get released as well? Game of Death 1 and 2 already have good editions, IMO.

Is GoD2 any good? Is it basically what GoD should've been?

Nope. But GoD2 is a good film with great action sequences, especially the middle part of the finale where Bobby Lo fights against a monk played by Lee Hoi-san.

there's a tower (underground) involved but that's about the only connection with bruce's vision. but hey it features roy horan vs lion, hwang-jang-lee , and some great fights. and it's absolutely bonkers.so it's all good 8)

I think the HKL DVD is one of their best single disc releases in terms of special features. On Bey Logan's commentary track, he is joined by Roy Horan and together they have a really amusing conversation. Roy Horan's interview on the disc is also very interesting and funny. The deleted scenes on the disc are also worth having and they are extras I have watched more than once.

The picture quality was good, too.

I "may" bother but only when it's cheap. The last 20 minutes make up for it but it's dull otherwise.

I'd prefer a second re-release of WOTD TBH that needs the remaster treatment much more, it's a mess.
No cheek involved. The plan is to release all the Lee films in double disc sets with the new transfers, and then release a boxset sometime next year with some more bells and whistles.
If this is true and I see zero evidence to backup Linn's statement I hope it contains the sixth exclusive bonus disc from the current box set.

I believe it it makes no sense not to release it.

It does mean WOTD with his uber pants transfer will stick out like a sore thumb though.

It's already uncut so that would be hard.

The Cantonese version is uncut (96 mins) the Mandarin version is about 15 minutes longer.

Didn't Bey say that version is long since gone?

Besides if you're talking about Taiwanese Mandarin cuts then virtually every HK film is cut. I think of those are extended cut instead of the normal versions as being cut.

I can't remember, the Mandarin print (Mainland, not Taiwan) is in the hands of a few collectors, including Fred Wientraub.

I wonder what the specs of the release will be?
Actually HKL's DVD is "cut" even more than the Cantonese version, its missing a few secs of footage here and there due to print damage.

The only Bruce Lee film I've seen is Enter the Dragon, thought was great.

I'll wait for the inevitable new boxset that houses all the new PE's w/ FS prints.

Fist of Fury is even better Eva then comes Enter the Dragon IMO.

What's cut then and it's definitely in the FS print?
