For a second I thought he meant the bald geezer fae Star Trek: TNG. :D

He'd make a good host.

TNG bloke: You going to announce the nominies?
Whoever: Yes captain.
TNG bloke: Make it so.

If that were to happen it would kill off most American film makers and that means no Underworld 3, Mortal Kombat 3. Would you really want to be responsible for that? Careful what you wish for, look at what happened to Tom (Josh) Hanks!

That's Patrick Stewart and OMG that Jon Stewart is a lousy comedian.

I recently watched "It's a Wonderful Life" and this movie is brilliant. Stewart made a good impression on me (as an actor :D ).

Nope that wont happen, as the people behind Underworld and Mortal Kombat wont be there and wont ever get to vote as they are way too downclass for them pricks, and wont ever get to stand on the podium of life and pass down the votes even when they havent seen the films they vote for

"Mortal Kombat" should at least get an Oscar for its brilliant storyline... and for Goro's actor.

You're probably right but would you want the death of Paul Haggis and Ang Lee on your shoulders? I'm confident they'll be there.

Romero rearrange this popular phrase "head right your went over" :D

p.s - I seriously doubt all the judges haven't seen the films they'll be judging. You hear of one example and suddenly they're all doing it.

I've never seen Jon Stewart doing anything except the cameo in Half-Baked. They've never shown SNL in NZ during my life time, plus SNL reportedly sucks ass so I couldn't care less.

Yes I am sure most see them, even if they see them wrongly on a small screen and a poor copy even as some admit. Most people I see interviews with say they dont have time to see them in a cinema, and for that how the hell they can judge many aspects right on a crap little TV on the plane even! how they are allowed to even vote for things like sound design and picture etc, when the film they see if so small and low quality.

They should have to view the films under the right conditions its unfair to judge the same film when one person sees a film on a gigantic 400 foot DTS kitted out new cinema, and one guy sees a film on a 15 inch portible with stero sound.

and 1 Example, nope try at least 10 cases (I have heard actors admit) and loads of other cases where they say they only vote for friends etc.. bacially I am sure a lot of them dont vote for real film purposes sadly.

Still I only get angry about it as so many people hold an Oscar in such high respect, I cannot understand why at all personally. Many actors, directors etc.. seem to say Oscars mean nothing at all and slag them off a lot like me, and for good reasons I say as they are totally worthless, but sadly acctually worth so much to box office and joe average.

This is Jon Stewart, not on his own show, but on the already cancelled 'crossfire, as a guest... and he's not too friendly to the two hosts :D

Shouldnt this be in the cinema forum? :)

Romero you have a point, shouldnt everyone watch Oscar screeners on decent equipment? How the hell are you supposed to judge "Art Direction" or something on a 4 inch screen? :D

Yeah, that show was great. The pricks (especially the one he called a major dick :D )deserved it :)
If you have bittorrent you should really download some of his shows, as it's one of the only great comedy shows that mainly focusses on politics...
It's fucking hilarious at times :)

Jon Stewart's show, The Daily News, is trash.

They show it on More4 in the UK.
