I can play it on a pad, as can many pro's who play for cash, but even the Pro's would loose to a 10 year ols with a mouse, its just a better expericnce and 100 times more accurate and intuative to play shooters with a mouse, it may take some people time, but really its the only way to play.

Imagine being online with the Real people on Unreal online! on a pad! hahah you wouldnt evern get one kill ever!

In addition to my last post, I've been playing a lot of [b]Far Cry[/b], [b]Half-Life 2[/b], [b]UT2004[/b] and [b]Return To Castle Wolfenstein[/b] lately. I think these are four of my favourite games at the moment...

Had a bit of a cold recently

Still looking for a PT job (a proper one) in addition to my voluntary work I do.
I've been playing Viewtiful Joe (GC) - great game, but really hard - and James Bond: Everything Or Nothing (also Gamecube) (not too bad, but Golden Eye is still the best Bond game ever IMO).

I like how you're thrust straight into the action in EON and you have to complete a little mission before you can see the opening credits

Perfect storyline, great characters (Dog, Alyx, Father Gregory, doc Breen), perfect physics and graphics.

Too bad they ended the game like they did.
I cried at the end...

I want more, I need more !

Yeah, [b]Half-Life 2[/b] is great but its DeathMatch soon becomes boring! The novelty value of throwing a toilet at someone to get a kill soon wears off!

It can't compete with [b]UT2004[/b] - such a balanced multiplayer game. I'm still playing it now, nearly a year after release!

Speaking of [b]UT2004[/b], everyone who is a fan of [b]U2 XMP[/b] should grab [b]UTXMP[/b] which is released at 6PM GMT tonight!

Is it! that sounds fun? is it that boreing?
Doom 3 is very limited in multiplayer (but fun), but didnt think HL2 would be that bad

and has everyone finished it! everyone keeps on saying it finished very quick, so I should stick it on the hardest setting I guess or it will be over too soon.

and is everyone coming back because of the dvdforums message? or you lot just felt like joining now? either way the more the merrier as its Christmas!!!!!!!!

Yes [b]romerojpg[/b], [b]Half-Life 2[/b] is relatively easy to complete. It didn't take me long to do it on medium difficulty and I didn't find many parts challenging. I'm playing through on hard now, and it doesn't seem much different to be honest.

Maybe its because I'm so used to the way FPS games play - if you look at my collection I have about 30 FPS games and only one 3rd person game ([b]Splinter Cell[/b]) and nothing else!

I've not tried [b]Doom 3[/b] multiplayer simply because you can only have 4 player games, and I never liked the game anyway. It got boring fast to me - its way too linear. Try a game like [b]Far Cry[/b] and you'll see what "non-linear" means!

that the offical number of people in a multiplayer game, unofficlally you can have loads! I was in with over 20

they modded the game within days you see

Just started Paper Mario 2 (I'm at the end of World 1) and its' a really fun game.

It may look kiddy yet unexpectedly, the script is one of the best things about the game, and its' also a great RPG. Throughout there are many in-jokes, references and parodies, everything (or so I read) from the X-Box to American foreign policy in Iraq (no, really), and a clever parody/reference of the film Demon Seed that I have seen so far (I think thats what it was).
Fantastic stuff.

I'm playing [b]Call Of Duty[/b] at the moment. I'm almost at the last mission, but after I've finished it I'm going to go back through it on the hardest difficulty level.

I've also got [b]United Offensive[/b] to play through too (I got the [b]Call Of Duty: Deluxe Edition[/b] which features the original game and its expansion pack). Great stuff.

I've also been playing [b]Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow[/b], which is probably better than the original so far, although I've only played the first few levels...

Hey,

Is anyone here getting a Nintendo DS or PSP?
On Tron's forum Tigger said to me theres no point getting a GBA SP and 'tis best to get a DS instead when I asked him, the system is multi-region though so a US DS should work with a UK charger (you can use it with a GBA SP charger).
I heard US machines are about £120 but Oz machines will retail for about £80 or so. Presumably they will work with a UK charger as well.

What does everyone think?

There's loads of games I want to play in the future but I've got to finish my old ones first I'm pleased Nintendo's forthcoming machine will be backwardly compatible with 'Cube games, so I can keep them

I'd like to play:

Viewtiful Joe 2 (the first was fantastic)
Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
Donkey Konga 1/2 (looks a right laugh but I want some mates to play it with). Wonder if it will have the original artists doing the songs this time...?
TMNT 2: Battle Nexus
Prince of Persia 2 (though I heard its not as good as the first one)?

You gotta get "Metal Gear Solid 3". I just recently beat the game on the easy setting and what a wonderful time I had playing it. Some of the greatest cut scenes ever.

Still been playing SSX 3 and Pro Evo on Xbox the last couple of weeks. Sadly, due to internship and having a girlfriend, I cant really spend as much time on gaming as I would wish. I really wanna start playing Splinter Cell again (stopped when I got some other games... but now that I have Pandorra Tomorrow waiting to be openened, I really wanna finish the first one first) plus there's still Knights of the Old Republic I wanna finish...

I should have gotten Ninja Gaiden by now, but bloody Microsoft extended their friends for live action meaning for some dumbass reason that they'll start shipping those games out end of april (!) while I should have gotten Ninja Gaiden by mid februari(!). Bastards!

Tenth of June is San Andreas' arrival on Xbox btw... so also looking forward to that...

So many games to play and movies too watch, yet too much crap in 'real life' trying to prevent me from playing... life aint fair.

A review I read (of the PS2 version but I imagine the 'Cube one is the same), say its very similar to the last game, but that was awesome so in a way thats not really a bad thing

Wow... I had to work on the Jade Empire review today at work, and it's getting a really high mark

Guess that's another title I will have to play soon

Also been playing top Spin yesterday evening. not really a big tennis-fan TBH, but I might give it a few more tries before going back to Pro Evo...
