Lost: S1 (R1) Where to buy?

Post by grim_tales »

Hey,

I was looking where to buy Season 1 of the Lost TV series (R1)

Checked out a few stores:

$43.69 @ Pacific (without shipping)
$38.98 @ Amazon.com (without shipping)
£30.99 @ Movietyme (with shipping)
£34.99 @ CD-WOW (including shipping)
£34.99 @ Loaded 247

Movietyme seem the cheapest, what do you think? :)

It wont even aprear in sales I dont think :( it may in america but even than it ownt go below 18 quid so customs will add onto that. The UK ones may go on sale, but even then it will still cost a load as they split the season in 2!!!!!! morons! basically its worth a lot mopre than 30 quid thats for sure, its THE best show on TV and best I can remember even being on TV.

Better than 24?

Huh you said less than 24 hours that Grim should wait for the sales???

Bastards I hate when they split series up. I'll wait for the re-release WHOLE series box set then, that's bound to come at some point. If memory serves me right each episode of Friends has has THREE releases (DVD with 3 episodes on, part series and full series box sets).

Holey shit is that the lead from Shiri?

I saw her on TV for a show about Lost and she sounded American, speaking fluent English.

There are various legit looking Season1 R1 Box sets for £25 at eBay based in the UK + various bootleg looking ones based in the UK.

france has released the whole series in one go. there's a seller on amazon.fr selling it for just over £27 but then you'd have postage on top.

UK will never get a full season set, ever. I was joking about the sales :)

and yes even better than the mighty 24, which is staggering in itself. You never know I havent seen season 4 of 24 yet, that may blow it away :D but really they are both the best shows you can watch and you cannot stop watching once you start.

Personally I would glady pay a lot more than 30 pound for Lost, hell I paid about 80 quid for the 1st season of The X Files! :D

You often say things like that which turn out to be false. You've no idea really now do you. Forever is a long time. I can see a full season set in a couple of years/a year.

You wait for the box sets right?

I've not seen any 24, Lost, CSI etc . . . I don't have time to sit down to a TV Series.

It's better than X-Files though? That was good but no keeper IMO.

As I said the UK will never get a full set, look at the company behind the set and you will see that its obvious as they have never done it before and no I rarley get anything false, if ever. I am right pretty much all the time.

romero,

If you get it right pretty much all the time, you wouldn't have kept buying from dvdsoon and got conned out of a small fortune.

:D

The R1 still works out a lot cheaper at £30-ish though. Interesting that the UK set is an 8 disc set, the US set is 7?
