The Producers

Post by BiscLimpkit »

Aye so it's a film adaptation of the musical, which in turn was an adaptation of Mel Brook's comedy?

Anyone know anything about any of the previous stage/cinema versions?

The TV spots make it look kinda decent. Might check it out this week.

+ Will Farrell.... :D

Well look at the cast! look at the plot! look at its tone! look at the trailer! it looks fooking shocking and a total abysmal piece of crap in every single way to me.
The origanal wasnt exactly good, this remake just looks so slimy and so badly cast and apart from Uma looking sexy sometimes in shots etc.. there is no way I will ever watch this and waste my time when I could watch any of the hundreds of amazing films out there I really wanna see. I am no conedy fan, or musical fan either.

Wouldnt make a difference who it was directed by to be honest, as it doesnt make me want to see it at all from what I have seen. Its acctually directed by a crap director anyway.

Aye just watched this.

Hmm well if it's an OTT, extravagent musical about camp people you're after then you'd probably enjoy this. I thought it was decent, some of the scenes were actually pretty funny. It's not the type of movie that I'd usually go out of my way to watch though.

Imagine if Will and Grace were a musical... this is probably what the end result would be.

Ooh, that's not good. I can't even stand those Will & Grace TV spots.

Would I f'k! :D

The camp/gay Will&Grace-type humour does get quite sickly after a while.

hmmmm it looks awful Although there were some funny clips but I would bet anything they have used the best bits in the trailer and the rest is absolute trash... Great reviews or not.

well sort of, i mean i did mean the original but also the theatre production which cast wise is basically what the new version is going to be.
