PC here... got 5.1 surround sound too (with DTS) and watch movies on my crystal clear TFT (LG 1710B).

I prefer DVD Rom drives as they cut down a lot of the problems that are present in DVD players - namely layer changes...;)

That's funny. That's exactly why I can't use DVD-Rom drives.
My standalone(s) do a much better job.
Plus my DVD-ROM drives are allergic to Universe DVDs. :(

All the money I earn goes into my Homecinema installation:

-LCD Videoprojector (Sony VPL-HS1)

-99" (250cm) screen ( THAT's big ! )

-Harman Kardon DVD-Player (not the best, but good enuff )

-Creative Inspire 5700 decoder and speakers (it was made for PC use but it's very good for a home theater, and it's really cheap).

Shit I cannot beleve anyone can watch em on a PC! thats scary :( I have been watching TV shows on my PC latley as my TV blew up, and its awful and I have a superb monitor and sound set up, but really its shit compared to my TV.

My TV (been broke nearly 2 weeks now!!!!!!!!) is a Grudig Argento 32 incher and its luverly :)

my DVDplayer is the amazing! SONY 301 multichanger DVP CX 360, never change them dvds again, its the best thing I ever bought!

and my sounds thru some nice baby little speakers Tannoy FX5.1s and nice they are too.

My AMP is a SONY as well, a beautiful silver STR-DB790 gets very hot when in use.

while not massively expensive set up, when the lights are out its amazing how good it al works. :D wish I had a 36 inch TV :( but apparently my TV is fixable, well thats when they pull there heads ot of there arses and fix the fucker!!!!!!

All modern projectors use LCD or DLP technology.
Older projectors use CRT technology.

old projector:

I don't consider a 28" WS TV small so I don't know what to choose. Under 28" WS is though.

Let's see... 28" is... 70cm.

I had a 70cm widescreen TV a long time ago.
It's not small but it ain't big either. ;)

Poor ferrits !

Nah, I'd rather watch a movie on a PC than become a eunuch.

To an American 28" is small, to a European it's a decent size/big :D

I have a vote button using Mozilla but using IE it goes sraight to the results instead of letting me vote.

Another reason why IE is so crap! Considering how good it used to be I now think it's rubbish.

ça va, ça va. ;)
Wish I had more time to post here (busy with exams lately).
Êtes-vous attendre avec intérêt Noël ?
I think I understand what you're trying to say, but the way you said it it doesn't mean anything.

For starters:
It shouldn't be "Êtes-vous attendre" but "Attendez-vous".

And since we're on the web, you shouldn't say "vous" but "tu".

So it should be: "Attends-tu".

But thanks for making the effort anyway... ;)

French is a VERY difficult language.

What did Grim say? What does the web have to do with it? Is it because it's informal?

French is harder than English then?

I meant "Are you looking forward to Christmas?" ;)
Also you are right, since its' informal I should have put "tu" - I don't understand what was wrong with the first bit? "Vous etes" means "You are", so cant you just swap the words around??? :)

Its' a long time since I studied French! :D It wasnt that hard really but Spanish is a lot easier :D

Yeah I know. ;)
It should have been:

"Attends-tu Noël avec intérêt ?" or
"Attendez-vous Noël avec intérêt ?" and not

"Êtes-vous attendre avec intérêt Noël ?"
Well... I happen to know lots of french people who can't even speak french properly. It's THAT hard. :o
And even though I'm a native french speaker, I'd rather speak english (so easy in comparison).

LOL I know lots of English people who can't speak English, it's laziness here (a least). Why was Spanish easier? Which btw is great news as I have plans to learn it next year. I really want to visit South America and Spanish is so damn sexy too.

A Frenchman who prefers English whatever next? A flying elephant :D
