:D Not bad for $30. The Street Fighter was actually pretty cool. Never seen Sister Streetfighter or that early CYF movie (Head Hunter?)

What is Fist of Fear, Touch of Death? :)

The Street Fighter is really good, i have this movie in a boxset which i got from Hmv when it was 17.99. Play actually have it for 11.99 (A bargin in my opinion)
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=srmr ... tle=572353
They are restored and uncut.

Remember Romeo must die, where you have Jet Li snapping someone arms in x-ray, well they got that idea from these movies :D

Ahh the good old 70's japanese movies, pure retro :D

Are the fight scenes in Street Fighter on the par with HK kung fu movies ?

They're not even on a par with Roger Moore in The Man With the Golden Gun! If Chiba moved any slower he'd be going backwards. 78.6% of his technique is scowling and grunting VERY LOUDLY.

That is true, the fight scenes are totally not HK kung fu movie, but you got to love the sheer silliness of the movie, that what i like. To be honest, i can't see why it was rated X for violence, although the ending was quite cool but very brief :D
For it times, it may have been bloody (although in the same era you had Lone Wolf series).

I'm like you Grim, i did like Street Fighter... it just something about it which is either its very so bad it good (ala most Arnies 80's movies ;) )

Actually i thought Arnies movies are more like "these movies are quality ! but it stars Arnie, should they be this good?"

Terminator, Total Recall, Predator, Red Heat, Running Man they are all really good movies !

Most of the American DVDs just rip off the New Line LD transfer. So I would expect it to be scope at least. But English Dubbed.

:D Exactly.....

"Matrix: Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?"
"Sully: That's right, Matrix. You did."
"Matrix: I lied. "

"Matrix: [after killing a man in the plane] Don't disturb my friend, he's dead tired. "

:D :D

You can't make these type of movies anymore

Received the 50 pack today.

Comes in card box which is about the same size as a standard DVD case but twice as thick. There are 12 DVDs in total, each double sided, with 2 movies on each side.

Just checked out The Street Fighter - its 2.35:1 widescreen !!! But its in english and looks like ive just wiped my ass with it, but very watchable !

For £13 i think it was worth it. A good investment for when im retired and have nothing to watch.

Told you. New Line LD. :D

If you like the film - and I can't imagine why? - the Optimum R2 is the best version - and it's easy to find cheap.

Watched the first 5 mins looks like the worst movie ever. I mean i only had to stop when it said "Sonny Chiba as Terry Sugary and Garald Yamada as Ratnose".

thought id check that out first cos its probably the most well known title on there. But ive seen clips of other movies (the ones i linked to earlier) and they look like decent enough fights.
