Interesting so the UK cut is better?

I'm confused is Chris saying the first alternation of the kiss is in the UK cut or is it in the HK cut?

Also missed out of why some of these changes are on the dvds, the reason as far as I know was because different regions had different films made as the special effects and editing was finished at different times across the world and apparently some version also are different special effects wise, as shots were more finished on later versions to a higher standard and hsnce some changes were made in editing etc.. I have the HK dvd and I am sticking to it, it just a shame there is not real film out there! insead we get variations, which is very ignorant I say.

Romero why would they release it to parts of the world before it was finished? This would be very unusual.

For the record I think it was good fun, not half as bad as made out.

Well considering it's an American film, the version released in America would be the 'real' film in my opinion. The strangest thing in my opinion is that the Hong Kong version features flames coming out of his mouth - as the other differences mainly show a lack of special effects.

And why is that ignorant?! Ignorant means unknowing.

They didnt release it before it was acctually "finished" so to say, its the same story as Star Wars Episode 3, they can finish special effects better with more time and a few days here and there (or weeks) can delay a film in some teritories so they have more time. Star Wars Eps 3 in cinemas was the same, as apparently some effects were better on some digital versions.
I havent seen any comparisons of the Star Wars work, but thats what the producers said happened :)

and it may happen more when digital comes into cinemas more and more as they can finish work more as they dont need as much time to make copies for everyone for the digital copies, the old style print versions need to be sent off to be reproduced weeks before ethe film comes out :) digital they can spend a little longer finishing the film, if any of that makes sense :) it did when I read about it somewhere..

and hey I really liked Fantastic 4, great film and its a nice change from the harder way comic book films are going and it kind of put the fun back into them. I cannot wait to see where they go in Part 2 :)

and hey its ignorant to me as there should only be 1 version released on dvd as they have then finished all work on the film, so cinemas I can imagine yes they would be different, but dvd is months after any version has been done and dusted so they all should be of the same quality.

Its ignorant like I said, they are stupid for releasing more than 1 version when they know only 1 is needed and from what I am reading there may be more than 2 versions! as a few other places may yet have other cuts!
if thats not ignorant I dont know what is.

As it just makes people who find out this shit feel crap that they may own an inferior cut! as I want the best version and I now have no idea which version is best without seeing them all!

They are ignorant for making the dvds of the film this way.

Thanks for the explanation Romero that makes sense, if a little stupid. They should delay the film until the director is happy but that would only happen in The Twilight Zone.

LOL don't ask Romero for dictionary definitions :D but Romero's right the word fits:

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=ignorant

p.s - If I were to buy this now I'd get the UK DVD (not that I found it a keeper) it's the cut I saw come back from Thailand on the Aeroplane, it was a British Airways flight. I distinctly remember Mr. Fantastic helping The Thing to defeat Dr. Doom. It works better this way.

Can someone answer for me please:

I'm confused is Chris saying the first alternation of the kiss is in the UK cut or is it in the HK cut?

That paragraph doesn't make much sense, to me anyway.

The one outside is the HK cut I think he says, as the dinner table scene I saw in the cinema here in the UK :)

and hey I just thought the commentary wont now go with the on screen action if you get a different region! looks like people may get a commentary where they are not talking about the version you are watching, very odd.
I guess whatever the cast watched is the real finished version they wanted out there, so I will listen to the commentary asap as it sound very good indeed with them cast members. :D the film was only 8 quid and thats a bargain in itself as the amount of extras are extensive.
