WTF when did they release this? It's Swordman 2 technically I believe.Markgway wrote:I'd be interested to know how their new SWORDSMAN II DVD is though...
I wonder how it differs to the HK SE? On the surface it looks the same (Anamorphic, DD2.0, DD5.1, DTS + Barebones). There is also a UK R2 box set (Swordsman 2 + 3) coming out at the end of the month:

How does the AV compare? It's not listed as being cut on the BBFC website.
Their "Born to Fight" Thai film looks decent but the film looks pretty tosh.

Maybe even more than an alternative, as it has a lot of gunplay as well. There is one shot, which lasts for about 2 minutes without a cut, where one of the good guys, unarmed, runs through the village from hut to hut, taking out terrorist soldiers.
The chase in the beginning is awesome, too. One guy falls from a going truck and almost gets his head run over by the rear wheels.

Nope you just wrong, Porn is porn and seeing the rest of a film doesnt not make it Porn. When I see a Porn film and watch the plot parts, it doesnt make it a real film.bradavon wrote:Now you're splitting hairs to get out of the hole you've buried for yourself. The content is the film, they're one in the same thing. Take the content out of Nine Songs and you don't have the same film and we don't have a discussion.romerojpg wrote:Not at all, the conversation was not about the "film" but content from the film and issues raised by them scenes
Stop saying I missed the point because I didn't. I happen to disagree with your point which I explained at the time.
The fact is you said and I re-quote:
"Bradavon remember you never acctually watched all of Hard Target, so for me noone can ever comment on a film until they see it all"
You were effectively reminding me that I shouldn't comment on said film until I've seen it all to give the film a full chance, to give it the credit it may deserve and to put the acting etc . . . in context of the film as a whole NOT to base it on the segments I'd seen.
Ergo shouldn't you do the same for Nine Songs? (How is it different? You're on thin ice if you think it is) You've not seen Nine Songs as a whole yet you seem to think it's porn? I come back to naked bodies doesn't immediately constitute porn. If so topless women on the beach is soft porn, is it not?
And even if it is porn you were slamming the entire film I seem to remember as being tosh when all you've seen is the "so called" porn sections. For all you actually know the other parts could be fantastic examples of film-making. I could cite many examples where the general consensus is it's tosh but you Romero think it's a great film. That's being hypocritical!
I judge things on what I have seen so far, a trailer, a teaser, a clip etc.. I dont judge a film on just what I have seen, only judge the parts I have seen and dont say the whole film is crap because I saw a clip. I have seen the crap prno bits and that for me makes it Porn, and many others agree about that too, no matter what else fills in the blans noone can deny its full of shagging and Real Porn.

A new wave martial arts film starring Brigitte Lin and directed by Yuen Woo Ping. I have the old Ocean Shores DVD and was looking foward to upgrading until I found out the silly buggers at Optimum put it out standard.grim_tales wrote:Mark what is FIRE DRAGON?
Recently, I think, but I've yet to see a review. Actually I haven't even seen it in the shops so maybe it's been pushed back. Check play.com for dates and info. I can't remember what the on-screen title is: but I've always known it as Swordsman II. So there!Bradavon wrote:WTF when did they release this? It's Swordman 2 technically I believe.
