The Online Safety Act

Post by grim_tales »

This one definitely escalated quickly...

I think the surveillance and censorship in this is Act is scary and getting ridiculous now. How does proving I'm an adult protect children on the internet?
And of course when the Internet was fairly new, everyone said "Never give away, or post your personal sensitive information" (People still say that now).
So to prove we're adults, what do we have to do? It's just crazy :dontknow: :icon_suspect:

I would imagine this act will achieve mainly two things:

1) Responsible adults will risk their personal information being leaked or abused.
2) Kids will start using more suspicious and dangerous sites for their porn.
