Friends Reunited

Post by grim_tales »

Has anyone ever used this website? :) I sometimes think it would be cool to get in touch with old friends from college/school. I think its £7.50 year to send e-mails and stuff.

What do you think? :)

I still miss Lin sometimes, surely no hope of contacting her though. :(

Haha..

Me too...Why would I want to contact most of them?....The few good friends I have I STILL keep in touch with anyway?...

Same thing with these School Reunion deals.....I doubt anyone REALLY wants to meet up again...They just want reassurance that their classmates never achieved more than THEY did...

And Grim....Don't let all those months of psychiatric counselling go down the drain by you having a LIN relapse... :)

I have one great friend (my best friend in fact) who I've known for nigh on 20 years who I havent seen for a year or so (ish). :(

As for Lin, the fact remains she made an impression on me. She was a lovely person :) I often wonder how she is, you know?

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was about a reunion special for the sitcom Friends.

Most definitely (not that I want one, I had enough of that show by like the 8th season). Matt LeBlanc will probably want one, cuz I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled Joey soon - it's other rubbish. The Joey character is all LeBlanc has, his film career never took off like the other cast members (except for Schwimmer) - remember how dire Lost in Space was?

Me to but I didn't hate them I just don't want to see them anymore. I'm a completely different person now than I was at School. I've moved on.
except for Schwimmer
Since when? Only Anniston is doing well with Cox just about doing okay.
biguy wrote:The few good friends I have I STILL keep in touch with anyway?...
Exactly that says it all IMO.

If you don't still know them then it means you don't really want to.

No offence but how can he/she be your best mate then?
As for Lin, the fact remains she made an impression on me. She was a lovely person :) I often wonder how she is, you know?
Don't take this the wrong way but you really need to move on.

I know what you mean, fair enough. :) I'd just have liked her to say goodbye.

None taken, he (Robert, for that is his name) can be be my best friend because (AFAIK), the fact we havent been in touch isnt anything to do with me, he kept dropping out of his courses at uni and then had a row with his mum or something, and wasnt really talking to anybody. They're on good speaking terms again now though. :)
Seriously I havent taken it as a personal attack, we all go through bad patches/get annoyed/pissed off I'm sure.
Still, we may have a meet-up soon, it being Xmas and all. :)

i was a paid up member of amputee weekly.... sorry wron thread, i mean friends reunited and got in touch with maybe half a dozen people I had known, some since primary school. turned out to be a total waste of time, we had all changed so much we didnt have much to talk about, unlike the people im still friends with but of course i was already in touch with them, we have a website in fact where we all keep in touch, works well

I still think the website serves a purpose. Because reuniting doesn't 'work' for one person doesn't mean it can't make others happy.

d to move on.
Courtney Cox hasn't had much of a film career either. Really I was refering to mostly Aniston but also to lesser extent Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry. Kudrow was in the Analyse This/That (the 2nd one was utter rubbish, first was fun) and other decent films like The Opposite of Sex and Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. Matthew was in the those awful Whole Nine/Ten Yards films.

For some strange reason I decided to join up (hell its only £7 a year) just to see what would happen :P And sent a few messages. I don't think theyre actual e-mails but messages within the site, a person's e-mail isn't actually revealed.

What do you know, managed to say hi to my best mate a while ago (spoke on the phone), and say goodbye when he goes off to Florida for a few months. Nice to talk to him.

Was that thru Friends Reunited?

Maybe some of your old gal pals are to afraid to contact you in case you stalk them?

I hear Lin has entered the Witness Protection Programme. :D

:D

No, that wasn't through FR, my mum was just talking to him on the phone by chance, and passed it over.

I doubt Lin will remember me, too much time has gone by and it might be a bit freaky. :)
I did write to someone else at Christmas and got a reply back though, so go figure :D

I have no idea what to make of that comment. Does your Mum normally talk to your friends on the phone? Is there something they haven't told you yet...?

:D No she doesn't usually - she'd been hoping to talk to his mother (really more her friend than mine, but she counts as a family friend) instead - but since Robert (her son, ny friend) was the only one in the house, he picked it up. They talked a bit then my mum passed the phone over to me.

:D
BTW, the girl I wrote to was called Laura :)

Robert: So what are you wearing, sexy? Oh, shit. Sorry Grim, I didn't realise your Mum handed over already! :D

Now called Tina and moved to a safe location.
