*100% total true facts!!
1. Dean Shek once lost a drunken bet with Bruce Lee. The loser would agree to play annoying comedy roles for the remainder of their career. Because of this we missed out on the greatest unknown martial talent the world has never seen. Dean consoled himself by teaching Sammo Hung everything he knew.
2. David Chiang, Paul Chun, and Derek Yee were triplets born twelve minutes apart. For a laugh Derek Yee pretended to be the youngest even though he was first born.
3. Li Ching and Ching Li are the same woman. She used subtle make-up to change her appearance every second film so that Runme Shaw wouldn't get suspicious. Gambling debts required she work twice as hard as every other starlet (she just couldn't give up the underground pigeon-racing circuit).
4. Jackie Chan was born in Iraq, his real name is Abdel Chan. He once had an affair with Lo Wei. That's why the triads got involved. Lo wouldn't accept their relationship was over. It's never been spoken about. Ever.
5. Ivy Ling Po is in fact a man. She was born Trevor to a Welsh mother. She's fluent in the Welsh language and can sing their national anthem backwards (she made her film debut in Charlie Chan at the Opera playing a tree).
6. Yuan Biao's new favourite food is pepperoni pizza (but only Domino's). He's soon to appear on HK's version of The Biggest Loser, hosted by Eric Tsang.
7. Speaking of Eric Tsang... did you know that before every line of dialogue he inhales helium from a balloon kept just off camera. His true voice is baritone, but only two living souls have ever heard it. He once trained in opera, but gave up to become a chubby funster.
8. Eastern Condors is a documentary.
9. Chow Yun-Fat fell out with long-time collaborator John Woo after it was revealed the latter didn't like his rice. Chow checks his 8,000 illegal gun collection every weekend just in case...
10. Carter Huang used to sell opium to fellow actors before being caught in a massive police sting operation (dramatized in Police Story). The judge sentenced him to appear in a movie in which he fights a man in a gorilla suit. Huang assumed the judge was joking...
11. In 1984 Ti Lung brought out a brand of Green Tea called Tea Lung. He only sold eight boxes and the limited company went bankrupt in a record three days.
12. Nora Miao was named after her great-grandmother's cat.
13. Cheng Pei-Pei appeared nude for a 1966 Playboy pictorial that was never published. I have the only existent copy of the images.
14. Five performers played "Billy Lo" in Game of Death: Bruce Lee, Kim Tae-Jong, that local businessman dude, Yuan Biao, and a young Stephen Chow (long shots only). Kim wore a beard for many of his scenes to hide his mumps.
15. Hui Ying-Hung actually is Hsiao Hou's auntie.
16. Elvis Tsui's penis measures 16 inches when erect and is classed as a lethal weapon.
17. Helena Law passed away in 1993 and came back to Hong Kong studios as a ghost to haunt producers who owed her money. They captured these episodes on camera and compiled them into the Troublesome Night series. Now on its 44th instalment.
17. Taiwanese-German actor Li Kunt shortened his name for fear of offence.
18. Bruce Liang went bald at the age of five. His bald patches saw him bullied at primary school, leading to his determination to study martial arts. He's since kicked to death no less than four people who've laughed at his comb over, including one pregnant woman.
19. Jet Li was thrown out of the Shaolin Temple when he was 15 for smuggling in a prostitute. Three months later she was also expelled.
20. Tsui Hark's script for Once Upon a Time in China and Nigeria was rejected for being racist.

OMG!!
Hey... Did you know that Bruce Lee was in some kind of a relationship with Nora Miao? I had no idea, until recently!
I always thought Bruce Lee already was a married man, when he returned to Hong Kong to star in those movies him and Nora Miao acted in together... This confuses me a lot when I ponder it...

And the name for the character wasn't even going to be Jean Luc Picard... He was supposed to be named Jet Liu Ping, and be a Chinese man from Guangzhou, who moved to San Francisco to join the starfleet academy with off the charts SAT scores. It was later decided that the American audience would find that too intimidating, given that many American kids still find SATs to be terrifying, while SAT tests is very common for Asian people. The character ended up buried, so to not lower morale.Ivan Drago wrote:Gordon Liu was the original choice to play Jean Luc Picard...
This could be bullshit, though...

It was actually a cigarette brand made out of tea leaves (bringing more punnyness to the label Tea Lung). There were different flavors including my favorite Delightful Forest. Apparently the Black Magic flavor caused impotence and it was quickly pulled.Markgway wrote: ...11. In 1984 Ti Lung brought out a brand of Green Tea called Tea Lung.
