Yes, but not on any sites where you're allowed
Seriously though, someone said they were anamorphic as opposed to the old IVLs, that's all I know.

Ideal would be if they were anamorphic, progressive NTSC, with Mandarin mono and decent subtitles.

They must have dubs, dubs that are rare are classic, WAHHH!!!!
Sorry, went all Bobo for a moment.
I expect these will be PAL-NTSC, and possibly non-anamorphic.

This was posted on KFC...
wow - saw "Bat" tonight...dont quite know how to describe it!
Weird story of various people making their way to "bat island" , not quite sure whom is whom or why they are there which then turns into a group of them escaping the island...
Mad sets, dodgy model effects and meh fightscene at the end but all strangely watchable!
Twice had that weird thing of just freezing on a scene. I thought it was a disc problem but was not - is actually in the film. Yuen Wah has small part in this.
Picture quality was ok but was a bit fuzzy for the first 30 mins or so and then seemed to clear up slightly. I would guess PAL to NTSC from this but dont really know my tecchy side of discs so could not say 100%.
Audio in Mandarin and Original English Dub (5.1 and 2.0 for both languages).
4/5 modern preview trailers and about 10 shaw trailers.

The run time is a giveaway for PAL to NTSC conversion.RetroRobot wrote:This was posted on KFC... The French PAL DVD lasts 98:43.
A proper NTSC progressive transfer should run approx 102:55
Doesn't say if the 2.0 is dual mono or a downmix.
Hmm....

Still can't find anything on the net... and people wonder why distributors don't bother putting out more titles...

Re: Well Go: Legend of the Bat/Death Duel
These two titles have been out for over two months now and I still can't find any word on them.
What happened to all those fans who professed to care?
The ones who complain about a lack of new DVD releases?
Where are the reviews?
A very sad state of affairs.

I care, I just can't be bothered throwing money at lousy distributors.

I care and I will be picking them up. They are the only R1 Shaw Brothers I do not own yet. I looked at several places including Target, Walmart and FYE (two different places I frequent.) I will have to pick it on Amazon. I've delayed for a few reasons mostly monetary. I will try to get them next paycheck.
