Any ordered the Roger Rabbit Blu ray? I pre ordered mine and it says "Not yet shipped" (even though its release day) and Amazon.com say "Usually ships in 9-12 days", not sure how that can be?

It's been delayed as they discovered it contained traces of horse meat.

Rear Window coming in May:

Don't like the cover much. Hopefully Vertigo is on the way and the extras from the Universal Legacy DVD are retained. Been waiting for this for ages.

That's certainly an unusual looking cover for 'The Birds'. quite effective :)
Think I'll wait for reviews of these - maybe the US is getting them too?

Fair enough then. Wasnt there differing quality across the discs, IIRC?

I think the US discs corrected a few of the flaws on Vertigo and Frenzy... but you would have to check on that.

Already have NBNW but I'm thinking of picking this up for VERTIGO and REAR WINDOW.

Will TT only limit Body Double to 3,000 or something like they did with Christine?
Shame if thats the case.

It appears so.

Since Twilight Time have no presence outside the US we can only hope that another distributor - maybe Sony themselves? - put this out on BD in Europe.

Twilight Time: the company that proves The Criterion Collection do exhibit a certain level of restraint when it comes to the RRP of their releases! :D

Seriously, companies like this do not love cinema, do not love fans, they just want to exploit the collector mentality for all they can. Christine limited to 3000 copies, yeah it's totally unreasonable to think they'd sell many copies of a film like that! It really is that esoteric dick waving nature of hardcore film collection raised to its most exploitative.

The Wicker Man (1973) - October 14
Zavvi exclusive Steelbook release apparently limited to 3000 (thats a beautiful cover though).

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=121217&page=4

I imagine it will only have the theatrical cut (the DC is in appalling shape, it looks terrible on the DVD).

The Good The Bad and the Ugly UK release in June

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Good-Bad-Ugly-B ... d+bad+ugly

Probably just a port of the USA disc, this badly needs a proper remaster with the Theatrical cut being restored.
The Italian BD is supposed to be very good but its not English friendly, with just an Italian soundtrack :(

Fair enough. Thanks :)
Maybe some company could somehow acquire the video used on the Italian BD and release it in English? If it was English friendly I would get it :(
