looks like it's the expedieted shipping option..pre-pay customs up front,get you delivery quicker and avoid the £8 Royal Mail admin charge...and if you are really lucky if the package escapes customs you get a refund a couple of months down the line.used it a few times

Sounds like it's worth using for anything that's likely to incur import VAT. There's nothing worse than treking miles to our nearest Post Office depot to be charged £8 in handling charges.

I placed an order via expedited + customs 20% a few days ago, arrived today 8days after shipping notice with no note from the postie. I can't really tell if it got nabbed by customs or not though.

If it a package does manage to get past customs, do you have to notify amazon yourself or do they handle the 20% refund automatically?

One of my Dad's packages turned up and like Shingster's showed no sign of customs interference - there wasn't even a customs form on the package. One down, one to go.

I ordered two $10 BD'S round a month ago and used their standard shipping...the estimated arrival date came and went so i emailed them..within an hour i'd had a reply back apologising for the delay and refunding my $8.97 shipping fee package turned up today.

I got my shipping fee back when I ordered The Raid BD when estimated date came and went as well I had used the standard cheap shipping.

the shipping times using the standard option is very unpredictable...i ordered some items from the black friday promotion and they arrived 11 days ago...even though they shipped a week later than the package that turned up today.

Grim Amazon find out literally months later if there was no customs charge and then they will promptly refund you...being a bit impatient there sorry.And wasn't your Lone Wolf set around $16 ish anyway....please dont tell me you ordered Turtles at the same time

We got a refund, too... but, yeah, it took about 6-8 weeks.
